Obsidian - Water Mage - Caring/Stealthy she/her

Obsidian hatched into StormClan, an Arcane clan living close to four others. As she grew up, her dark scales and speed became her prized attributes. She excelled in her warrior training, with extra talent in stealth missions. Underneath her rough exterior, she had a loving heart, and she tried to help other dragons in her clan to the best of her abilities. Obsidian soon graduated from her training as a full-fledged assassin. She completed only a few missions before she could no longer due to her feelings of kindness. She fled from StormClan on her final mission.

She was later found by SwiftClan, and they accepted her as a warrior. Soon after, she helped train other warriors in her new clan. Obsidian rose swiftly through the ranks until she was only second to Swiftwater, the leader of the clan. The two of them became very close friends.

However, tensions began rising within the five Arcane clans. Some feared a coming war. Unwilling to fight her old clanmates in StormClan, Obsidian expressed a desire to remain neutral. When neutrality was no longer an option, she asked if she could depart. Swiftwater agreed, and he appointed her leader of a group of dragons going to seek shelter. The group consisted of Jadestripe, Tempest, Smoke, Shadowfire, Star, Topaz, Nakia, Lightningwing, and Starfire. Before the group's departure, Swiftwater gifted Obsidian with a headpiece containing a pink crystal.

The group of dragons set out for Energy Clan, a Lightning clan that had once been allied to their home clans. Upon their arrival, they were greated by a Pearlcatcher named Starwing. She explained that some of them would need to be placed in Cryo-Freeze, where they would be frozen until an undetermined date. Obsidian, along with Nakia, Lightningwing, and Starfire volunteered.

Much later, Obsidian and Nakia were awoken from Cryo-Freeze. EnergyClan was transforming, and Obsidian transformed with them. The markings along her scales changed, and her eyes began to glow slightly. She exchanged her armor for new apparel and began learning how to channel her water magic. She still maintained her warrior skills, and she used them to assist her learning.

Upon mastering her water skills, she donned the new name Maelstrom.
