Fallen Royalty | Child of Omnion and Cavatina
Fallen Royalty | Child of Omnion and Cavatina
Iolite is almost the polar opposite of her brother. While both the siblings are composed and mature, Iolite is not as merciful and cheery. Even for a young dragon, she has a way with words reminiscent of famous poets and leaders. A master at speech, Iolite takes no pity from others and tends to see her actions through to the end- no matter the consequences. She has shown interest in astrology, medicine, and the afterlife. The Royal Priestess of the Umiryu clan has said this about her future:
"The blood of kings and queens runs strong in this one."

"Yeah, yeah. Make yourself comfortable. Syl said the storm would last for at least two days, neither of us can leave without being blasted to ash." The Imperial's voice sounded scratchy and deep, as if he eats a bowl of gravel for breakfast every morning. He shuffles back into the dark crevices of the lair, before coming back out with a large towel. "What's a royalty like you doing here? You don't exactly seem like the kind that's tough and used to our weather here." The delicate jewelry and her accent probably gave her away as a nobel dragon. Iolite considered the possibility of the other dragon seeming to want to avoid her for her status. Thunder crashed outside the cave again, this time more and more frequent and stronger. Iolite remembered reading that the constant lighting raining down on the ground occurs quite often here, and will only get stronger until the storm stops, but it made sense the residents are used to it, the other seemingly more annoyed than afraid and shaken like she is. The dragon before her tossed the towel at her. "I'm not sure if you've heard of us, the Umiryu clan, but that's where I came from. I was originally headed to the Sunbeam Ruins to seek out their shelter there. My family wasn't too fond of me back there, you see. But a storm blew me here around this area, and..." Iolite caught the towel, dabbing away the rainwater whilst speaking. The other dragon seemed... annoyed and like he wanted her out of there as soon as possible. "So, what's your name?" The Imperial's eyes shifted around, grumbling again. Iolite had a feeling another difference between them was her being adept at socializing and the other's apparent dislike. "Call me Chrome. And when the storm cools down a little more, I'm taking you to Lukorra. You're welcomed to stay, just not... in my lair." Chrome turned around, curling around a chair in the corner. "...no offense." "None taken," Iolite picked up her sopping wet bag and stepped deeper into the cave, finding herself a rug to sit on. This lair seemed about as welcoming to guests as its owner was, having only one chair and one table, nowhere to have a second dragon rest. "Thank you, Chrome, I'll be out of your mane as soon as possible." Iolite tried a smile at Chrome. He just grumbles and huffs again. Right. Easier said than done. The storm didn't seem to be able to let up anytime soon. Iolite sighed, looking at her books still dripping with rainwater laid out on the ground. One of the goals of her journey was to meet new friends and acquaintances, right? May as well make this into an opportunity, although friends really is neither her greatest priority at the moment or anything she wants or needs. Though a dragon that look so much like her has really piqued her interest. Glancing at Chrome from across the room, Iolite felt now more intrigued than shaken; pulling out her journal, she begins making a new entry... |
