As would be expected, Salem is infatuated with magic.

Salem is generally calm and reserved, even around well-trusted clanmates, but if she is asked about some obscure branch of magic her eyes will glow with barely-restrained delight. Salem is considered an expert in any area of magic, and even dabbles in basic herbalism. Surrounding clans often come to her for advice on alchemy, what to do with a haunted or enchanted object, spells of fertility or good brooding, and protective spells or combat magic.

Salem also has an eye for shiny objects that is typical in hatchlings, but her own longing never disappeared. Thanks to this, it is quite easy for one to pay for Salem's services - a few gold coins, gemstones, or even colorful bits of glass are usually enough.

Eager to share her knowledge with anyone who will listen, Salem is yet ever thoughtful and hospitable to guests, and rather terrified of boring them or coming across as hyperactive or annoying. Due to this, it can be quite difficult to talk to her, as she will be very quiet unless pressed for information. Salem often badgers the gathering dragons to bring her "anything magical" from their excursions, including magic texts, spellbooks, grimoires, enchanted items, or runestones.

Any one of these items is enough to buy her attention. Plan your meeting with her accordingly.
