Atlantis, Deucalion's mate

Quote:
Lil blurbs, unfinished, will expand soon:

History:

Atlantis was born in a Nature lair, under two powerful Water wielding dragons.

Being one of the firstborns of a powerful Water Elementalist, Njord, and a reincarnated Water Spirit, Kaia, Atlantis grew up shouldering high expectations from her clan mates. Everyone assumed she be a natural with Water Magic just like her parents. For as long as she could remember, she was taught the basics of Water Magic, however she was never good at it, and would always stare in envy as her siblings get things right in the first lessons.

Her first home was a Nature lair, so she and her family had to travel hours in order to reach the ocean, but they would always do it anyway, since her parents loved the sea so much. Unlike them or her siblings however, Atlantis detests the sea. She was always afraid of what the sea had lurking, just barely out of sight. She felt that something was always watching her, ready to attack the moment her attention wavered. As such, during those gatherings, she stayed as far from the ocean as she could, watching her parents and sibling play with each other from afar.

Because of her aversion to water, her relationship with her siblings and parents grew more and more shaky. Every time her parents hatched a new clutch, she would pray that one of them would be like her so that she could have someone to talk to. She would be left disappointed every time, as it seems like every single one of her siblings were just natural water lovers.

As she neared her age of maturity, her father took her aside and told her his story. She learned that both her parents were not born as Water dragons. Her mother was a Nature dragon like her, and her father, a Light dragon. She became more intrigued at the notion that maybe, her birthright isn't everything that she was meant to be. Maybe, somewhere out there, she will find the things that will make her truly happy.

For the first time in her life, Atlantis felt something wonderful. Hope.

On the day of her 180th birthday, she made the decision to venture off to look for whatever the Realm has to offer. It was hard to leave her family and first home behind, but it is what she had to do in order to be truly happy. She left her home with a huge smile on her face, anticipating the adventures that she would experience.

Quote:
Finding Love:

Adventures are not like what the fairy tales made her assume. There were no heroic quests or life-changing epiphany's. No evil dragons to slay, no damsel to save. All there is is mud and sand in places she never wanted, thirst and hunger that she never thought she would experience, and soreness in her entire body that she could feel in her bones.

Atlantis was regretting her decision to leave her home.

'But was it really a home?' She asked herself, chewing on the last few pieces of insect rations her mother packed for her. 'I was never truly happy there.'

But at least she never had to worry about her next meal before.

She heaves a deep sigh, shaking the thoughts off. She must continue to be positive. Somewhere out there, her happiness was waiting for her. In a few years, all these will be a thing of the past.

She quickly packs her meager belongings and braced herself for another night of sleeping on hard, rocky ground. She missed her soft, plush grass bed like no other. The farther she got from the Viridian Labyrinth, the harder the ground seems to get.

In all honestly, she has no idea where she's going. All she knows is to stay to the right of where the sun rises, as all other Regions are located to the south of the Labyrinth. She should have paid more attention to those geography lessons.

What she does know is that she can see a tall tower, hundreds of miles away from her, that never runs out of light. She noticed it in the first week of her adventure, when she was terrified about sleeping alone for the first time in her life, in the dark no less. She was looking around, desperate for something that might calm her, when she noticed the beacon. For some reason, the light it emitted was so bright that the darkness seemed to almost disappear from around her. From then on, before she falls asleep, she would stare at the beacon of light until her eyes got too tired.

It was an easy choice to make, but she decided from the first night she saw the tower that that was the place she would be headed.

Not that she had any idea how to get there, anyway. But that was a problem for another day.

She is just about to fall asleep when she hears a sharp *crunch* of a twig behind one of the large bushes. In an instant, she was awake and standing, head feathers bristling in fear.

"Wh-who's there?" She shrieks, wincing at how her voice broke into a scared chirp in the last syllable.
