Biography
Robot Wars House Robot Season 1-7. I wish they'd brought Bash back for the latest seasons, but it's understandable why (I'll include it in the bigger bio). Flamethrowers are awesome!
Since the others have updated designs I went for the Series 7 Bash without circular saw and ram spike.
THE REBOOT'S COLD WEATHER
During filming of Series 8, which took place in March 2016, there were a few cases where competitors with pneumatic weapon systems were adversely affected by cold weather. The low temperatures of the studio limited the ability of the stored liquid CO2 to vaporise - a condition which is required for some valves in order not to freeze the components with liquid CO2 . This restricted vaporisation of the CO2, thus limiting the flow rate and ultimately the effectiveness of the weapons systems. Robots affected by this include Bonk, Dantomkia, Glitterbomb, and Terrorhurtz, the four proving unable to self-right due to the cold temperatures.
Sergeant Bash was also impossible as a concept for similar reasons - the cold temperatures would have caused the fuel for the flamethrower to freeze and as such did not return for the series.
Series 9 was filmed in December 2016, with further concerns being raised beforehand regarding how cold weather would affect certain competitors. To combat this, competitors were allowed to place their CO2 bottles in a heated room prior to battles. Series 10 was filmed in May 2017, somewhat remedying the issue but not enough to bring back Bash.
Formerly Lunamarisol's Zadalynne, introduces Adalyn #25378346 a forgotten nocturne as her shadow spirit bond. Her shadow gifts and abilities are yet to be determined.

“Keeping order, Sergeant Bash! Featuring a savage circular saw and a flamethrower, certain to leave all opponents...hot under the collar!”

Participation Information: UK Series: 1-7, Extreme 1-2 US Series: 1-2, Nickelodeon Dutch Series: 1-2 German Series: 1 Robot Statistics: Weight: 120kg (265lb) Dimensions: 1.40m (55in) x 0.90m (35in) x 0.90m (35in) Speed: 8mph (13km/h) Power: Four batteries running in parallel Weapons: Propane fuelled flamethrower, front ramming spike (Series 1-2), hydraulic crushing pincers (Series 3-7), circular saw (Series 1-2). Strengths: Fast, powerful and long-range weaponry Weaknesses: Limited flamethrower fuel capacity, poor pushing/pulling power and narrow base makes it vulnerable to flipping EXTRA INFO: He appeared in all seven of the original UK series, as well as both series of Robot Wars Extreme and all international versions of the show. His design is perpetuated to be that of a futuristic military vehicle, and his weapons by the time of his most recent series appearance were a top-mounted flamethrower and a set of front hydraulic pincers. Almost every time Sergeant Bash came up against a robot from Team Nemesis, his flamethrower provided entertainment for the audience and roboteers as it regularly set their robots' fur alight. Indeed, his popularity came from his ability to do so, and Sergeant Bash even took part in an exhibition battle in Series 2 which was held specifically for him to set his opponents on fire for the audience's entertainment. Sgt. Bash did not appear in the rebooted series of Robot Wars, with James Cooper of Robo Challenge stating that they did not have the time to complete a new version of him for Series 8.He was the only House Robot from the original set of four not to return for the revived series. However, when asked about Sgt. Bash's absence in June 2016, the Official Robot Wars Facebook page responded by suggesting the possibility of additional House Robots for a second series, hinting of him possibly returning in the near future although, ultimately, he did not appear. During the airing of Series 9, BBC Two wrote on Twitter that he was "enjoying his retirement", to which Noel Sharkey replied "military robots retire early". Later, Dutch competitor THE BASH would represent the retired House Robot during the Robot Wars: World Series, and footage of Sgt. Bash in the original run of Robot Wars was shown during its introduction. |
