Nymph had always hated her eyes, their colours had always drawn attention from her peers, the orange and green colours clashed together horribly and showed how she didn't belong. When nymph left her family she had taken to wearing a eyepatch over her orange eye, the clans here trusted a nature dragon far more then they trusted anyone else of course, they didnt need to know that her egg originated from The Ashfall Waste. Nymph was quickly welcomed into a clan and the members of the clan largely let her be, and she was grateful for it, but one night she sat by a pond in the forest and took off her eyepatch to look herself in the eyes, but before she knew it a fae popped their head out of the water, their blue eyes were wide and their crest shook as they studied her, Nymph couldn't handle their gaze and so she ran away from the pond, leaving her eyepatch behind. A few days later Nymph heard a knock on the door of the small shack she had constructed, when she opened the door it was the fae from before, they gave her the eyepatch and told her that their name was Jessamine with a small smile, the two quickly grew a friendship, they'd laugh at each other's jokes and would hold one another when they cried, but after some time the friendship evolved and Nymph trusted the little fae enough to take off her eyepatch, while they watched the sun set from ontop a tree, when the fae looked at her their breath caught and they only whispered one word: "Beautiful." |
