Shy and enigmatic, Lethe serves as Seneca's field assistant. The soft-spoken Ridgeback once held her own dreams of joining the ranks of the Necromantic Council, only to see those dreams dashed as she spectacularly failed her trials. Now doomed to life as a Wraith, this once "gifted child" turned "burnout" now spends much of her tile cataloging the disquieting samples that her boss collects and avoiding the ridicule of her peers. Lethe is aware that she is somewhat of an oddity in the halls of the Council. She occupies a position that typically would be reserved for a Necroservus. Seneca believes there is a hidden talent in Wraiths just waiting to be unlocked. This belief, however, does not spare Lethe from his scorn and sharp tongue. Nevertheless, Lethe knows her options are either serve or slink home in disgrace. |

| In Necromancers and their variants, the effect often manifests as the ability to perceive a body's inherent weaknesses, susceptibilities, and latent disease states before symptoms even appear. The ability is not without price, for the more often a dragon activates their sight, the faster their control over it erodes. In later stages a dragon completely loses the ability to deactivate their gaze, leaving them in a state that is out of sync with time and space. They are no longer able to perceive reality as it is, and are instead lost to the exponential possibilities of the future. |
