Harsh, unforgiving and dangerous. She carried it within her, this cold fury, and only Jokul was spared from its icy touch. She was powerful, able to control the ice that her twin created - manipulate it to whatever end, whatever pleased her. Jokul was a silent presence at her side, the only one that she could trust in. Her many eyes gazed in disgust at her surroundings. She kept them veiled, hidden, but she could still see. She could never be blinded to the filth of her surroundings. The world needed to be remade, and she planned to do just that. She and her twin together - they would cast this realm into a frozen wasteland, and then they would see who really ruled here. There wasn't much tolerance left inside her after the cruelty she had been subject to in the days after she hatched. Her twin was the only thing that tempered her endless rage and offered her some small amount of comfort on the days that she craved it. It had been a long journey for the two of them to get where they were today, surrounded by dragons that they could trust not to hurt them, even if at most times she hated them for what they were - a constant reminder of those who had harmed her. Sometimes she couldn't control her powers, increasing the ice within their lair to dangerous levels, but always the fractured clan, and her twin, would drag her back into reason, and her powers would wane once more. She was dangerous, broken into splinters of emotion, and yet the clan did not cast her aside or lash out at her. For that reason, she and Jokul had chosen to stay with them, to whatever end. If they were going to spend their final days living among hostile creatures, then this lair this prison of frigid ice, was as good a place as any to make into their tomb. Xeadas smiled, and the air itself shattered. |
