story.
It's almost as if the bitter cold never ends within his gaze. A war between his love for the world and the hatred that stems from this unceasing love battle within his heart. Once a stunning angel of glittering light and iridescent fractals, now lies a large beast of untamed energy. He is king within his realm; a tyrant with an iron grip and a child with a foul temper.It never started like this. Like all of the fallen titans, he used to be kinder, a gentle angel who bestowed blessings of fortune and clairvoyance. It all began when one day, he visited a lovely young woman. He knew what happened to another being who had fallen in love with a human, but he disregarded this looming fact in favour of spending time with her. They had become close, her melodious sweet voice and innocent appeal only furthering his growing affections. He had unknowingly become a victim to the flytrap. A harsh winter day had arrived when he visited her. She was now a fortunate lady, having won many blessings. As queen, she had begged Apollo for one last wish: the ability to turn her kingdom into a flourishing haven for those in need. This touched him, and he granted her the ability to manipulate the life energy of her land. That was a dire mistake. Within seconds, she had revealed herself to be a master manipulator and schemer. Using this potent energy, she drove away the gods' eyes from her lands. This tragedy created by Apollo would not go unpunished. In order to right himself, he was banished from the realm of the skies. He was forced to absorb the corrupted energy from the queen. In turn, this changed his angel form into that of a leviathan. A beast with six legs and three wings erupted from the ground, screaming in agony as it tore apart the lands. Its ghastly face let loose a howl that shook the castle and drove the queen out. The land had been destroyed. In return for doing the gods' dirty work, Apollo was granted the ability to shift between multiple forms. He was banished from speaking to the denizens of the sacred lands and instead exiled into a barren skyscape that thrived only from his energy. As a result, he had to snare unsuspecting prey to harvest energy. In an older era, he may have been known as Apollo, the Saint, but now he is Ardwyth, the Screaming Light. | ___ |
