Karnaca originally hailed from the lands of the Windsinger, where he set out upon a journey to discover new horizons and potentially new friends. Drifting from place to place where the winds would guide their flight, it wasn't long before they met and began to learn a few things from a water tribe off the coast of Plaguebringer's lands. Originally fascinated by the insight into the culture of the Water Flight, the group instilled upon Karnaca the sense of protecting the ones they care about through their insight as Guardians to the impressionable Imperial.

Having settled as one of the tribe, it became clear that the search to find the one was a heavy point of their culture. What he does remember, is that they said it would be a long and arduous task, but that they would find their charge and know once they saw it. Taking their word as gospel, Karnaca finally decided one day to set out on their own in search of this charge; leaving behind the ones that had become their family in hopes of discovering this sensation of protection that they so strongly felt.

They had taught the bulky Imperial to swim like one of their own, and as such they plunged deep into the waters of the Tidelord's domain, searching it to an unfortunately fruitless end. This would lead the young Imperial to continue their hunt, first crawling ashore through the wetlands of the Shadowbinder's misty domain. Glancing back at their original home across the lake, Karnaca shrugged it off and began to stalk through the eternal darkness plaguing this section of Sorienth with nothing but their goal in mind and a shiver of dread as they trudged forth into the bramble-shielded woods.

Almost immediately, what would be the sounds of comforting wind were instead underlaid with an eerie and discomforting tone as they rustled the branches and thorns alike. It was almost as if they could see eyes lurking in the mist, but upon blinking, there was not an eye in sight.. only the still and silent bioluminescent mushrooms which were going to be the Imperial's only companion for quite some time. It was terrifying to walk those woods alone, hearing nothing but the stirs of something among the foliage, if it could be called such.

That was not a debate he thought of in the moment, no, what Karnaca was desperate for, was a way out of this frightening forest. He'd been walking for so long that the Imperial wasn't even sure of which direction they came from, but what they did know, however, is that unless they got out, they'd be stuck here seemingly alone, with only mushrooms to keep them company. And yet, little did it seem like at the time, after what felt like days of trudging across the Shadowbinder's lands, and tripping headfirst into the Foxfire bramble, did they finally see another dragon.

A Pearlcatcher, one of those created by Lightweaver. Calling out to this fellow creation, all it seemed to do was startle the orb-holding dragon and cause them to flee into the brambles as quickly as they had appeared. Disappointed in their frightening the other dragon, mind you the first one they'd seen since the Imperial had departed from their home in the tribe, Karnaca got up and began to limp out of the brambles, having to sit down and use their teeth to grab their bothersome 'friends' in the form of thorns and yank them out of their hide.

Once they were finally free of the agitating foliage extremities in their scales, it was once again time to set off in hopes of finding a way out of the confusing forest. Little did the Wind-born beast of myth know, was that they were unknowingly heading forth towards the Obscured Crescent; a place so smothering with their shadows that they managed to stumble into something.. wet. Squinting their eyes, they raise a paw closer to their face only to see a oddly disgusting mushy yet somehow liquid substance covering their paw.

Feeling oddly threatened by it and the suffocating presence, they began to back away blindly, doing their best to leave whatever the Imperial had stumbled into behind. Little did he know, that he was very close, mere feet away from having a potential encounter with the deity of this part of Sorienth. One that may or may not have ended out pleasant, because what would have happened will forever remain unknown. Once Karnaca had successfully gotten to a more breathable area, they once again opened their eyes after bumping rear-first into a mushroom, causing them a moment of panic as the spores had landed on their tail.

Flicking them off, the beast of myth turned around to examine the strange remnants of the muck were.. gone. Confused more than ever and convinced something strange was afoot, they set off once again; determined to escape this tricky forest. Little did the Imperial know, was that in their confusion, they had backed away in such a direction that it would lead them to the Dusk Sanctum, a place that gave the dragon hope. And just beyond the surrounding bioluminescent mushrooms was light. Not just mushroom light. Outside light.

Freedom.

Overjoyed by seeing the first sunlight they had felt in a while, Karnaca spread their wings and flew towards it; crashing through the remaining trees into the open, and finally being able to feel the calming presence of true wind. Inspired more than ever to continue their journey, with not even a glance back at those terrifying woods the Imperial set forth towards the flight of rocks and gems, descending into the Terraclae with the wonder of a newborn hatchling seeing their lands for the first time. Looking around and stumbling into one of the members of the clan of Vri'i, they hastily begin to apologize only to be gently shushed by the female Imperial.

After some chatter and an explanation of where they were and what clan they belonged to, Karnaca found himself fascinated by the lightning dragon's graceful articulation and the place that they lived in. And it was then, as the lightning dragon went into their den and brought out a gift, that it clicked for him. This gift that had been bestowed upon him was a mark of his journey, a reminder of his homeland.

That present was none other than their now trusty Reedcliff Resonance, which they swore from then on to protect with every fiber of their being, as well as staying at their fellow Imperial's side, throwing aside the taboo instilled upon him from the rumors he had heard in his homeland.

And since that fateful meeting, Karnaca has become a well-respected member of the clan of Vri'i. A clan that which he still defends to this day with his lifeblood.
