Each child possesses a unique tidbit of something forgotten. From ancient arts to magic. They are all tied together in some way. A place, a people, a culture. Often such things come from places where knowledge was forbidden. Many hatchlings remember forbidden arts. Many practice before they are old enough to know what they have brought back into the world.


The children of Null bear the marks of their knowledge in their skin. They are layered lacquer like the iridescence of their pearls; fossil marks and sediment layers of forgotten things.
