Eternal light

- BOC, Astronomy
Originally obtained from this hatchery in 2018:
He gained lore on 6/27/2021
Desdinova is a partial emperor dragon, featuring two extra heads on top of one neck, adorned with crystal shards that have grown out of the top of all three.
He was best described as a chaotic wizard in life, and this carries over to his personality in death, although he is now quite a bit more cantankerous due to being trapped in a crystallizing corpse.
While the extra head apparel that I used for his design has Luminax's canon colored eyes, I headcanon that Desdinova's other heads have arcane [purple - right side] and fire [orange - left side] eyes.
While he technically no longer exists as a member of my clan [since he's a danger to everyone in it], he certainly serves a purpose, albeit, a particularly gruesome one. Not all hatchlings that await exaltation to space dad make it into his services - sometimes, if they are unlucky, they find themselves becoming a snack for our ever-irritable, ever-hungry friend here when they begin their journey.
His [simplified] lore:
Desdinova was once a living dragon much like any other. But things changed the day that he developed a creeping, ethereal infection that caused luminous crystals to sprout from his crown, almost like false antlers, before beginning to spread to his back and shoulders.
Fearful that the disease sought to crystallize his entirely slowly and painfully, he resorted to drastic measures.
He knew just where to find a burial site. The remains were in terrible condition, but he managed to salvage two heads, which was enough for his plan.
Emperor dragons, he had been told all his life, were immensely powerful, and if he could fuse himself with two others of his kind to form one, even if they weren't fully intact, perhaps he would be powerful enough to slow, if not entirely stop, the plague that had befallen him. He'd be dead, of course, but living dead was still preferable to full dead.
Granted, though, that meant possibly losing his sentience entirely at some point, a problem he didn't want to risk, even post-mortem.
With this in mind, he used his magic to join his soul to a golden locket, creating a phylactery to hopefully safeguard what he could of his sentience once he had passed, and laid down that night beside the two heads he had procured, drinking a vial of poison he had prepared beforehand.
When he next awoke, he had fractured memories of who he was and what he had done. The two heads, now both very alive even in their state of decay, had fused alongside his own, and he now effectively had three atop one neck, still weighed heavily upon by the vibrant crystals above. Much to his dismay, they had spread to the other heads in his absence of consciousness.
To top it off, he would come to find that his two new heads had decayed enough during their time in the ground that they weren't particularly adept at conversing or much else; their primary concern was feeding, and feeding alone... a concern that would come to drive him more and more as time passed.
But how to sate such an overwhelming, all-encompassing hunger?
How else...

Exalting Desdinova to the service of the Arcanist will remove them from your lair forever. They will leave behind a small sum of riches that they have accumulated. This action is irreversible.
