I was born as unwanted. Born to be thrown to war. Once I hit a mature age, I was taken out to train. From morning to night and again and again, we trained. I watched as others I trained with were taken away. We knew where they were taken, but pretended we didn't. I can still remember the fear on their faces, the fear that was once mine. When my day came, I was taken out, and then exalted. It was terrifying. Dragons battling non stop, corpses fresh on the ground. Non of my training would prepare me for that, nothing could prepare me for that. So I fled. I ran for days, I feel as tho I still am. I long for a place to rest my head forever, a place to be loved in. A place to be loved by.
