Biography
Born to two blood mages in a city of Shade-maddened slaves, this child does not enjoy any special treatment. He is merely one of the masses. Before his eyes have even opened, he has his mind flayed and the memories of a long-dead resident of an ancient plague kingdom forced upon him. This is your past, they say when he is old enough to understand their words. And your future.
Destiny.
And then, they say to him: You must be faster than thought. Your mind must shred anyone who nears you as if it were a spiraling whirlwind. For your blood is richer than others, it shrieks and howls to your enemies and drives the idea of sanity from their soul.
He learns this well.
At a young age they allow him to roam outside the kingdom. For glory. Spread our word, show them the might of our ways. He travels to arcane territory first, and in their forests he seeks out travelers and shows them bizarre displays of blood magic. From slaughtered beasts he animates unicorns and hummingbirds and dances them around in wonderful shows. Most recoil from his macabre art, but a few stay. These scholars recognize a gift when they see one.
And then he sails to the icefields, where the cold eternally creeps forward to seize the hot, pulsing blood from his veins. But he is stronger. The locals are terrified of the things he says. They huddle together in their clans and shut him out, requesting for him to leave and not return to these parts. But there are strange individuals, and they want to learn how to make their own blood dance. How does yours speak so clearly? And he teaches.
He still travels. There's little time to think of settling down, not with such a sacred mission given to him by his queen. By now he's learned to charm with his words alongside the blood, and most listen to what has to say. Who could deny the intoxicating wyrm at your doorstep, turn away from the richness of his words, when you could fall into listening? Listen. Listen.
