Biography
Once be-loathed by his clan and following, now beloved by all he comes in contact with. A bit rough around the edges, fraying a bit here and there, but the most cuddly. Referred to simply as Jez.

backstory:
Born into a long line of royals, his mother was exalted and his father vanished when he was still young. Too young. The Clan, squabbling and collapsing without a leader, coerced him into taking up the role- Jezrien didn't want to. He wanted nothing to do with the position of power, and tried to hand it off numerous times. No one listened. The dragons in his birth Clan forced him to keep his status, holding him above what a normal hatchling should be seen as. Things deteriorated as time passed; Jezrien didn't know how to manage a vast army of dragons, nor keep the peace between previous allies. Those who had refused to let him hand the reins to someone else turned on him, snarling and raving about how it was all his fault. Jezrien was scared out of his mind- this was all too much. Eventually his supporters turned enemies burned the Clan's home to the ground, chasing him off with blows and screams.
After being chased off he slunk across Sornieth, afraid and alone. Young as he was Jezrien couldn't wrap his head around why everyone had gotten so angry- he was just trying his best. Dragons who had helped raise him in the absence of his parents had beat him while he turned tail and ran, ran from something he didn't even know how he caused. Stewing in his abandonment and bewilderment alone turned Jezrien into a sad and bitter relic of a bygone era, a dragon with little faith in the world. His unwitting childhood mistakes still shackle him and drag him into the dust- he feels the searing pain of the dragons who raised him in place of his late parents shrieking and clawing to chase him away from the ruins of what they forced him into. Jezrien is by all accounts a creature of great sorrow, often considering himself worthless because of past mistakes.
Personality:
Jezrien is a kind of depressing companion. He self-deprecates and tries to convince his few friends that he is not worth their love and kindness, but if you stick with him through that he will stop for the most part (though only around you). Striking up a friendship with him is hard. He is slow to trust and even slower to admit that he trusts you, which makes it hard to tell if he actually considers you friend. Jezrien is willing to talk with any dragons who happen to want to, but if things get unpleasant he leaves without a goodbye.
Despite all this Jezrien is heartwrenchingly lonely. He wants to be accepted and loved but feels unworthy, making every interaction a battle between the two opposing thoughts in his head.
He is most likely to be out and about at dawn and dusk. Times when neither the light or darkness is fully in control feel fuzzy and detached- safe.
