As proprietress of the Phoenix Inn, Malady is always ready with an easy smile and a jug of ale or cider when patrons enter. She's unconventional and eclectic in her tastes and passions preferring exotic, spicy foods on her menu over conventional fare. She loves music and live performances are frequently held in her establishment.
Thursdays are games night...her game of choice being Crokinole which she plays with gusto and is the reigning champion. She lets other players win just often enough to keep them coming back for more. Where's the fun if no one will challenge her? It's a sight to behold...her pustular eye squinting at her mark as her talon deftly flicks disks across the board. She beams with pure joy when any player makes a centre score.
For those who do not enjoy Crokinole, dart boards, card tables, pool and ping pong tables are also provided. Second to Crokinole, Malady enjoys Flying Ping Pong. Only tiny dragons are permitted to play this indoors. Large dragons must play on the patio outside, as the damage to the inn was extensive when that activity was first attempted within.
Despite her condition (no one really knows exactly what it is) Malady lives her life to the fullest and employs compassion and a sense of fun every day. She understands life can at times be difficult and laughter is often the best medicine.
