Council Member: A council member’s duty is to advise Angela, the clan leader, when she is unsure about how to make a decision.

As part of the Council Cyrus often finds himself agreeing with Leila placing the survival of the clan as a whole over the survival of the people around the clan or any members of the clan, but unlike Leila Cyrus is more than willing to sacrifice himself if it would mean the clan would survive. He does have a sense of honor however he will put it aside to ensure the clans survival. Cyrus often seems emotionally detached from the clan members. He values the clan as a whole because he views it as his legacy and he would rather die than be forgotten.

Head of Defense: It is the head of defense’s duty to patrol and flight alongside the defenders. In addition the head of defense will help the defender train, make sure they are prepared to fight, and organize patrol routes.

As Cyrus injured his left front leg in the early days of the clan Cyrus does not feel he does much good as a defender of the clan. However he continues as head of defense because he knows how train others in the art of combat. He has continued the training of those who have shown themselves talented in the art of combat. Although he has not told anyone of his intention he is secretly grooming Dark to be the new Head of Defense in case he is killed in battle.

Nightwatch Overseer: It is the duty of the nightwatch overseer to meet with the head of the nightwatch and confirm that their operation is working as smoothly as possible. They will also coordinate the efforts of the defenders and the nightwatch.

Cyrus often meets with Ursa to ensure that the nightwatch know where the defenders are at all times and to ensure that the nightwatch and defenders can work together. Occasionally he meets with all the members of the nightwatch in order to ensure that they are all prepared to do their job and to make sure they remember some basic self-defense methods.

Despite his sunny appearance he is temperamental and a bit of a loner. He guards his secrets and emotions carefully and speaks only when necessary. If he does not like another dragon he will make it obvious otherwise he will fain indifference, but on the inside he does care about the few dragons who he allows to stay around him. He is also very protective of the clan as a whole. He thinks of himself as the highest authority in the clan besides the clan leader Angela.

Cyrus was the one who discovered that Aurora was a plague clan spy. He wanted her sent back to the Scarred Wasteland, but when the other leaders of the clan learned that Aurora would not have a clan to go back to they had mercy on her. Cyrus resents this decision and does not miss an opportunity to let Aurora know she is not welcome in the clan. He gave her the bone crown she wears as a symbol of her allegiance to those outside the clan and he will not let her take it off.

After the clan moved to the Hewn City Cyrus began being plagued by dreams of a great darkest deep in the earth. After being relieved of his duties in order to pursue the meaning of dreams Cyrus learn than there was a shade in Cairnstone Rest that threatened to destroy the known world, but many like himself had been sent dreams of the shade and were gathering warriors to fight the shade. Returning to the SunDragon Clan Cyrus told the Council that they would need to send their five best warriors to Cairnstone Rest. He wanted Dark to lead this exhibition however Angela convinced Cyrus that because he was the one who had the dreams he should lead the warriors. At that time Cyrus did not know what would happen to the clan while he was gone.
