Tesla's Apprentice

B I O G R A P H Y

Tough it in fact was Tesla's idea to take on apprentices, she herself did not have one for the longest of times. The closest she came to having one previously was Yautja who never intended to be part of the guard and left to start her own clan. Before Tesla seemed very inclined towards other mirrors, but after Yautja it was no surprise when she took in a bogsneak apprentice whose coloration is suspiciously like Yautja's.

Anuka doesn't just look like Yautja though, in many facets of her personality she reflects the other bogsneak as well. She is a strong, independent hunter who has a clear talent for more sneak attacks and a fierce spirit in a fight. Yet unlike Yautja who held Tesla as a teacher and nothing more, Anuka seems to very much favor staying by Tesla's side. In a lot of ways Anuka is more of an adopted child and less of an apprentice to the mirror.

Anuka's story is quite typical. She came from a family of bogsneaks who sent their hatchling out in search of their own lair. Tesla was just out, wandering threw the many dragons searching for homes when she encountered the small dragon, milling around in the crowd. Her sister had already been promised to the Gladekeeper and her brother Decimus was off elsewhere. Tesla approached the small dragon and it seemed that something in her heart gave as without a single question she took her in and began the long training process.

So she grew up among the politics of the lair and she knew them well. Anuka has been able to stay out of the questioning line of sight though, seeing as how the trial of the Darkwing Cult continues and she was not here when the even occured. Still, Rona has shown slight interest in her, though more through the concerned lens that the last time the mirror adopted a bogsneak she raised the dragon into a vicious warrior who ended up founding an internally new faction in the lair.

Anuka, like most of her kind has little time for others. The exception to this rule is Tesla, who she is dedicated to. In return Tesla has given her more love than she has ever given to any other dragon before. Though she's not perfect (far from it) she has gone out of her way to try and give the bogsneak all the care she could possibly need.

Anuka is not smothered though and does wander about by herself quiet a bit. She has shown little interest in most, but she does have a passing hobby of attending the showings that are put on the the Circus of Mirth. Though many dragons do do this, she is the only one who is willing to admit it. She goes to see Inclementia preform. "There's a tragedy to that acrobat" She insists after every show she visits. "Like she's trying to tell us something through her stunts but just can't find the right moves to communicate it to us." If there is one thing that does displease Tesla slightly it is Anuka's fascination with the Circus of Mirth, though it doesn't seem to throw to big of a wrench into their relationship.
