 Destruction was born into light, his obsidian black hide of striking contrast to most of his clan and their glowing white and gold. Even so, he was never treated differently for it, instead being seen as a rare and beautiful specimen of a wildclaw because of his unique contrast. He grew to become a bit of a charmer within the clan, often having several ongoing relationships with male and female dragons alike.
However, he quickly grew bored. Things had become stale, and he craved exploration and adventure. His bonds were superficial at best to the dragons in his clan, and so one day, with hardly a word to the others, he packed his things and left.

He found the same level of unfulfillment from his journeys for the first year he traveled. However, he had felt the world begin to shift, the energies in the natural world around him becoming much more potent as the days passed by. His curiosity was piqued - after all this time he finally decided it was time to return home, and he prepared for the long flight back to the mirrorlight promenade where his clan had long ago resided.
On the morning of the fifth day, after he had finally arrived back within the light domain, he felt strange. His vision showed him a glorious world, glowing with life and colours he had never seen before. His limbs were filled with renewed vigour and strength, as if his journey had been a distant memory. He briefly wondered if he had somehow died in his sleep but when he gazed into a nearby pool he realized the truth. He had been blessed by the Lightweaver. His eyes were faceted, shining with beauty, and he felt magic coursing beneath his hide as if he had been filled with divine light. He had been given meaning.
