"Where did that danged Ridgeback go this time? I swear, you turn around and she vanishes... What in the world is that noise?! It sounds like something is hitting the wall-- Oh, come on! Moth! Moth, get away from there!"
Moth blinked and ceased in her noisy activity, her wings twitching in annoyance. A soft growl rumbled in her chest as she ignored the dragon and went back to repeatedly banging her head against the base of a fire pit.
"Moth! You're going to give me an aneurysm, I swear!" A purple and green Ridgeback yanked Moth away from the pit and quickly recoiled when she hissed and snapped at her.
"Leaaaave meee beeee, Persephoneeee!" She shrieked, baring her awful, grey teeth in a mouth that opened uncomfortably wide.
"You'll knock yourself out doing that! Stop it!"
Moth puffed herself up and hissed again, yet Persephone stood her ground.
"You and your damned lights..." She ran a glowing paw through her mane and shook her head. The dragon certainly lived up to her namesake...
"Here, crazy, I made you something..."
Moth yelped as Persephone slapped a dangling bulb on her forehead. A moment later, it started to glow.
"Ohh..." Moth murmured, her eyes going crossed as she stared up at the purple orb. She batted at it with her front paws and said nothing else. No thank you. No smile.
"Guess I'll check in on you again in a few hours..."
She just showed up one day on their doorstep. A lonely hatchling with disgusting, slimy skin and wings that looked like old parchment paper. Nobody wanted her, aside from one. Persephone scooped the odd babe up and raised her as her own. But even she can't control the unholy terror that now resides in the pits of The Follower's lair. All she can do is attempt to keep everyone else around her safe.
Moth is much like her namesake. She is enthralled with light, be it fire, torches or lanterns. She will often be seen in a daze either staring into a light source or hitting her head against whatever is causing the light. The clan doesn't allow Moth outside during the day, or else she'll sit and stare at the sun until her eyes ache. As long as she is in the dark, she functions just fine and actually serves as a competent partner to Persephone in her laboratory. When she isn't with Persephone, Moth can be found skulking around the ice fields, looking for something. No one knows for sure exactly what she's looking for, but they know not to disturb her strange activity... Some wonder if it has to do with her place of origin.
