TOBARU
Personality:Blacksmith " Talent is a flame. Genius is a fire " Tobaru is a battle-scarred warrior and the most militant of the Watchers. He is dedicated and focused on the practical art of battle. His solid demeanor and skill of speech makes him a perfect battle expert. Not prone to erratic bouts of meaningless talk or prideful boasting or even fiery rage, Tobaru is able to keep a level-head in the face of greatest danger. He dislikes cowardice but is wise enough to know when to retreat. He does not judge others by their appearance or reputation, but by their skills in battle. Lore: Tobaru was raised in a military fashion soon after he’d hatched from his egg and created his pearl. His sanguine scales were perfect for a warrior according to his parents and as he grew old enough to learn how to fight Tobaru was taken to his birth clan’s trainer. There he learned how to fight and obey orders given to him with haste, though the young Pearlcatcher wasn’t fond of the constant preaching about serving his deity with honor. Still, out of all the trainees he’d been the dragon at the top of the class thanks to his attention to details while observing the instructor and constantly practicing outside of training. Despite his skills at battle however, Tobaru was more interested in the gear presented to them to be used and when training was completed he decided to look further into the actual creation of armor and weaponry. After leaving his birth clan the Pearlcatcher sought out the best metalworkers in Sornieth to learn from them. Soon his pearl was full of his experiences and ideas for better designs and Tobaru felt ready to start his own business as a blacksmith. The obvious place to go was Flamecaller’s lands and it was there that he joined the Adventurers Guild as their blacksmith. He quickly became trusted friends with the captain defender, Crimson Flames, despite the coatl’s temperament. The two often spar together to keep their skills sharp, as Tobaru isn’t the type for small talk, or will exchange a few comments over in his forge about another supply of armaments. Tobaru’s creations always seem to exceed expectations and constantly gets remarks on his talent, though he rarely pays attention to it; pride wasn’t something he cared for and wouldn’t bring his next ideas into reality. As a blacksmith it’s Tobaru’s job to supply armaments for dragons in the guild. This requires him to often work with his clients to figure out what type of fighting they’ll be doing and to test out his creations with them upon completion to assure that everything functions properly. In his free time Tobaru can often be found sketching future ideas down and gathering materials. Sometimes he’ll leave camp for a while to do some battle training as well to keep his own fighting skills top notch. |
