Biography
Stratus came to the clan not that long after Jazzy.
Cirrus and Kalen's dam was enough space for the two of them, and could manage a spiral hatchling for a few days, but as those days stretched to weeks with no sign of Jazzy's family, Cirrus and Kalen realised that the place would have to get larger. So, the two of them set about gathering even more logs... Well, it was mostly Kalen really, since Cirrus wasn't a fan of heavy lifting.
It was on one of these trips to find logs that Kalen found Stratus. He had found an almost completely intact trunk, perfectly clear of rot and muck, and as he was carrying it back he felt something crunch underfoot. He stopped for a moment to check he hadn't stepped on a bug and found shards of eggshell, littered all across the wet mud. Confused and worried, he looked around, to see a small pair of purple eyes watching him from a nearby tangle of thorns.
It took him two hours to coax the hatchling out, and he then spent several more hours looking for any sign of their clan.
By the time he finally returned to the nest, with the strange hatchling carefully balanced on the tree trunk, Cirrus was preparing to leave to search for him. The moment she saw his silhouette on the horison was the first time that Kalen had ever been cursed and blessed in the same breath, and the first time Cirrus's voice ever rose above a murmur.
She wasn't exactly enthralled about the idea of having another hatchling to look after, since they barely had enough space as it was, but she couldn't exactly throw him out. He didn't seem to have anyone else to look after him. He was so young, he didn't even seem to have a name of his own.
They named him Stratus, and started trying to find space for another hatchling. This one, it seemed, would be staying with them for a long time.

Personality-wise, Stratus is very much like his parents; he's silent, strong and indomitable, though he easily caves in if his siblings want something from him.
He's calculating, precise, methodical, and as loyal as they come, devoting himself almost wholeheartedly to his family... And his hobbies.
He is a very skilled gambler. Cards, dice, games of chance... name your game and he'll trounce you at it. The wide, toothy smile of a game won is one of the only times he shows visible emotion.
