Where droplets of water aren't just enough; where the divinity of water is greatly imposing, yet so mystical... A single temple maiden was born after leaving home. Unlike the great Tidelord she was not bestowed upon with the miracle of direct prophecies, but instead with the ability of reading it through a medium: Tarot, crystal ball, palm reading... She knew them all.

She used to live alone as a wanderer, only leaning on herself for support with her divinations. Days passed by quite idly, some town folks relying on her, others calling her a fake one.

One day, though, it attracted a king's attention. She was summoned to the palace in order to become the royal oracle for the kingdom's prosperity.
It was not uncommon for her to prophetize for them and it was also not uncommon for her to attend to many of his wives.

It was not long before the first born was given birth to. A boy at that, so he became the heir. The diviner was called to give them the information about the heir's future, but only tragedy awaited them. If he was to stay, eventually he would usurp the throne. If he was to be placed outside the succession line a killing would take place.
And thus the king, angered, ordered the diviner herself to get rid of the hatchling. He wanted to place the blame of such a future on the one who called for the spiritual world. She, uncertain, but without being able to go against the king, accepted the task and threw the hatchling to death itself.

Some years passed, the kingdom more unstable. With the arrival in other countries about some new political system, the monarchy was in danger. The girl was already prepared to leave the castle as to not get caught up with the rebellion she saw in her divination, but who knew that upon arranging her luggage... The castle would suffer from attacks already. Everything was taken by flames and she could hear some nobles screams. The official, alive heir took place in the spot as the second in charge. She saw it. His eyes as he scorned the people in that place but the low servants. Her vision was mistaken this time, but what she saw was true. A sword pointed to her throat.

The oracle bowed to him, but did not evade his blade. Due to the circumstances at that time she was forgiven by the heir, but exiled. With nowhere to go, she once again wandered aimlessly, surviving on her powers alone and eventually taken to be sold. With Peony wandering through the Auction House, he saw her, who seemed to give up. He took her in and nourished the oracle until she was able to seem healthier. The girl decided to stay and repay for their kindness there, but also get herself a role other than just a mere wanderer. She saw that place as one to direct her services in exchange for her severe past wrongdoing. And there she would stay for a long time... Iris was born.
