After a day of visiting her friends, a bright pink dragon that goes by the name of Cryptic slowly and precisely took off each layer of her apparel. She started with her headdress, relieved to have the weight gone from her head, and felt the same kind of relief with each layer that was taken off. She happily walked into the forest behind her lair, wanting to feel the cool breeze through her mane. She loved her outfit, it just spoke to her so she must answer the call by wearing it every day. But some days like today, it's just nice to get back into your own skin.
The dragon trotted through the forest, failing to at least somewhat blend with the world around her in case there were any enemies nearby, but that was practically impossible for a dragon with her colouration. It didn't help that the dragon also had glimmering pink wings that could blind you if they caught the sun just right. The only thing that allowed the dragon to somewhat blend in were her dark purple jaguar spots that covered every inch of her body excluding her wings, the top of her face, and the tip of her tail.
However, the most defining feature about this dragon could only be seen up close. She had bright vibrant pink eyes that matched the colour of her scales. This was a sign of her arcane origins and as a result, her curious and troublemaking personality. This definitely showed itself when she'd end up in places you wouldn't expect without the slightest idea how she even got there. When you ask she comes up with the most obvious, laziest excuses you could imagine, the most common being "I dunno" accompanied by a half-hearted shrug.
So when the clan went out into the forest to find her, it wasn't surprising to see her precariously balanced on a branch that seemed much too thin to support the imperial who wasn't wearing any apparel. They were used to her shenanigans, and at this point, didn't even bother to ask.

Like anygremlin cryptid she lives for shiny stuff. Doesn't matter who owns it, or what it's made of. If it sparkles, it now belongs to her. End of story. Everyone in her clan is sick of her shenanigans.

I was super torn between Oleander and Cryptic, but I'm currently working on some Alice in Wonderland kind of stuff, so I'm kind of leaning towards her..! Her vibe just screams that 1920's era of jazz in New Orleans, and it's so, so pretty!
