Bounty Hunter
A bounty hunter provides funds for the clan through the capture and/or murder of escaped convicts (from neighboring clans or previously exalted dragons). "Let me tell you beautiful lies." Vivek's that kid that people always say is going to go places when he's older. He's an intelligent, energetic Fae that'll simply bring out the best in others just by being there. In between practicing necromancy and his studies, he's a thrill-seeker that'll never say no to fun. He shares his Bar genes with both parents and Stripes and Smirch with his Pearlcatcher mother. - Likes: Candles, The Dark, Small Talk, Antiques, Gothic literature, Frogs - Dislikes: Tailoring, Praying, Routine, Scarves, Spiders - Secret(s): Vivek, while amiable and friendly, will usually keep details concerning his personal life under lock and key. - According to Language of Flowers, figs represent profile. - His Wasteland Collector is named Dorothy. She's a quiet thing, except for certain times when she'll attack Vivek's own minions and eat them. Because of this, he seldom practices at home. - Vivek owns a stuffed mith that he sleeps with. He also has raptorik talonblades that he will sometimes utilize in fights. - He utilizes necrotic energy for his attacks. This can be gathered from drawing it near locations of death, such as graveyards or battlefields. - Sometimes when he wants to be alone, he'll sit in complete darkness and lament. - His magic is loosely tied in to his emotions. Grass and greenery has been known to die around an angry Vivek. - For whatever reason, Vivek does not have the monotone inflection most Faes have. Many think that this was due to his strange upbringing, but this had been a strange quirk since before he arrived in the clan. - Vivek once visited the clan's resident seer, Anansi, in an attempt to gain information regarding his parents. The only thing Anansi told him was that his parents were both powerful practitioners of magic. - He's capable, sure, but sometimes he'll overwork himself or put too much confidence on himself and end up failing a task. - He has a bounty of 20kt on his head from an anonymous dragon. It doesn't scare him. Origin Story No one really knew where he came from. He just showed up in the Academy one day. Vivek was introduced into the Lavaburst Clan when he was around eight years of age after being adopted by residents Hellcaller and Foestalker. He had allegedly been scrounging and scavenging around a trading post, his behavior compared to that of a rabid dog. His peers thought him to be disturbed. He spoke Draconian, sure, but his voice was not the usual monotone most Faes did. He preferred to speak with his teeth and claws. His parents, however, made sure this behavior was not to stay. Hellcaller was a fine strategist, seldom was a battle lost underneath her guidance. Foestalker was no force to be reckoned with either, she was one of the clan's strongest warriors. The two were quite the power couple. Hellcaller taught her son the importance of thinking before acting and assisted him in his studies, pushing him to be the best dragon he could be. Foestalker taught him to not let violence do the talking, that fighting should be a last resort. She would also teach him physical skills such as disarming and self defense. Vivek would eventually grow to be as charismatic, intelligent, and powerful as his mothers. His peers would begin to see him as a smart, thrill-seeking Fae. And with that, he let go of his past and let it sink into the farthest crevices of his mind. Though he was born in the land of fire, he had failed time and time again to perform any magic associated with the element. So around this time, he compensated for this and took up necromancy. It was an unpopular form of magic, but he has since seemed to perfect it. Vivek continues to improve today in between his studies, adventure, and fun. Relationships Hellcaller - Adoptive Mother Foestalker - Adoptive Mother Behira - Step Sister Flurry - Friend Starglider - Friend Bakari - Friend Vindicta - Friend Fernwhisper - Friend Angel - Friend Abilities Vivek has been practicing necromancy for about six years and has shown excellent promise in the form of magic. His spells are a tad odd, that is to say that they are usually activated by him shouting their names when performed. He utilizes necrotic energy for these. This can be gathered from locations of death, such as graveyards or battlefields. Utility "Rot." - Vivek rots some organic matter. This can be done until it dissipates or turns into some sort of goo. Casting time varies accordingly. "Rise!"/"Come forth!" - Vivek summons 1-4 undead minions. "Converge!/"Feast!" - All active minions focus on one target. "Horror become one!" - All active minions combine into one grotesque abomination. Appearances vary. "Don't move!" - A structure of bones surround a dragon. Attempting to trap large dragons such as Imperials, Guardians, and Ridgebacks, will cause Vivek to strain his magic. Offensive "Necrotic Blast!" - Vivek fires a bolt of necrotic magic. It can pierce through enemies. "Feel my wrath!" - Vivek fires a solid ray-shaped mass of necrotic magic at a target. "Hither."/"Fall!" - Grasping claws of necrotic magic take hold of a target and pull them closer to Vivek. "Ground become death!" - An effected area will turn black with Vivek's magic. It will sizzle to the touch. "You are your own undoing!" - Spikes of bone shoot up from the ground, typically in circular formations. "Darkness free, horror onto thee, I call upon those of flesh and bone, Hear me, fuel me, empower me, Our foes shall atone!" - Vivek's strongest attack. He kills all of his existing minions and takes their energy, gathering all his necrotic energy into one massive burst. He will always faint afterward.
