"A map tells you where you've been, where you are, and where you're going. It is the mapping of countries yet to come."

Eire grew up fascinated by the land around her. Her clan encouraged its hatchlings to learn about the natural world around them and she took quickly to the lessons, easily learning to navigate most of the terrain around her nest. Curiosity drove her onward, though, and it was her parent's concern that she might get lost that led her to try her claw at cartography. While her first maps were crude drawings of the region around her home lair, she was soon travelling further and further and picking up new techniques as she did so.

One day, as she was mapping a region of the Light clans, she saw another ridgeback in the distance making his way gracefully through the trees. Fascinated, she followed him back to his clan before slipping away to return home. After a few more visits she requested to join the clan and was accepted into their midst. It was a few weeks before she moved in with Cedrus, the other having taken note of her just as she had of him. While the two never married, they are content to live together and raise their children when they have them. Otherwise Eire and Cedrus are more commonly found out in the forests, searching for anything new and different.

Eire is a more talkative dragon than Cedrus although she knows when silence is important. As a ranger alongside Cedrus she helps guide other dragons through the woods but her job as a cartographer takes up more and more of her time. Her growing passion for her craft has led to her opening her shop more and more frequently, although she can take a while to complete more complex designs.

Hobbies: Spending time in nature, especially with her mate, Cedrus. Eire loves to chart the un-mapped regions of Sornieth. She sometimes helps other clans map out their surroundings in order to help her clan earn money.
