Tracking so far
- Day 1 (01.08.23) - About 2,5 hours to mid level 9, Scorched Forest is a real pain.
- Day 2 (02.08-23) - It got a lot more straight forward after level 10 in the Sandswept Delta, not faster, but at least my sustain is good now, I don't need to restart all the time anymore. Another 1,5 hours probably, to mid level 11
- Day 3 (03.08.23) - It's definitely straight-forward but slow now. Staying behind in some of the venue also seems to work well, a lot of today was spend in the Blooming Grove, which I always love. Got to lvl 14, a little over 2 hours probs
- Day 4 (04.08.23) - Level 15! In about another hour. Now moved to Redrock, also managed to get one of the new Tengu vistas in Bamboo Falls and one of the new Sandsurge genes just now, good hall. Later in the day, level 16 in less than an hour, this got SO MUCH easier with two ambushes and Rally on my mage (and Redrock Cove is pretty simple) Another hour and we are at level 17! Arena was pretty alright, I have the Berserker/Scholar stones on everyone, so on we go!
- Day 5 (05.08.23) - Level 18 in the Vents, going strong! This is now just straight-forward grinding, I feel like this little experiment has been a success. Additionally I realised Warrior's Way might be coming tomorrow (or latest next weekend) so that will make the next trio that much easier. And another 45-ish minutes later, level 19! The tough part of this is definitely behind me, it's just grinding from here.
- Same day, LEVEL 20! Feels good. I might knock a lot of this today with how it's going, although the high level venues I might get a bit bored of. Now up to level 22! Haven't tracked time much but every level is pretty consistent now, between 40 mins to an hour depending on how distracted I am. A total of 5 levels today!
- Day 6 (06.08.23) Made it to level 23. Now the only two venue left are ones I'm painfully familiar with, but hopefully that won't kill my enthusiasm too much. I'm finishing this today probably! And then lvl 24! And now we're in the Mire, no one's favourite venue ... But it's all good, the finish line is in sight.
- LEVEL 25!!! The final stats are a bit all over the place, since I haven't tinctured anyone, but they should work just fine for casual grinding. Now to save all this somewhere and try to sell these boys!
Notable Loot
& quite a few familiars from the Arena onward
- Sold the Sandsurge Gene immediately for 225g, pretty solid!
Other Notes:
- Having a trio of siblings is a bit tricky - with these specific ones I had trouble telling the sisters apart at times in the coli, which makes it a tad less mindless. But the bigger problem is they are all of the same element, so they have the same elemental strengths and weaknesses AND use the same stones, I didn't have enough Arcane might fragments at one point for example. So a trio of different elements that cover for each other might be better. It will also solve the problem of starting stones and stats.
- As a final note, a very rough time estimate for this - everything past level 15 seemed to take a consistent 45 minutes to an hour, depending on how distracted I was, which puts us around 16-18 hours (again, very rough). Divided by 3, this is under 6 hours per dragon, which I feel is relatively okay. It was also way more engaging that dragging a single low level dragon in the Kelp Beds forever for example. And I got a couple of new familiars from venues I don't frequent much out of it.
- As far as cost goes, I'll consider the 6 Ambushes (currently 13g on the AH), 6 Berserkers (currently 15g on the AH) and 1 Rally (a crazy 60g on the AH rn) even though I didn't have to buy any of them, since I have a bit of a stash in my Hoard. So a total of about 230g had I just sold the stones instead. Those dergs managed to make that up with just that one lucky gene drop, so no sweat. I even feel I got somewhat unlucky with drops, so this really doesn't feel too bad. [
i]Until I run out of battlestones that is ... but a problem for a later day[/i]
