Biography
Snapshot: Voraciously curious, with little caution to temper it, Farrow was born as and spent her formative years as a Pearlcatcher raised far from home by her fae tutor. Naturally inquisitive, she’s become fascinated by the forbidden magics she's found her life surrounded and infused by. Though sometimes still confounded by her new body and the new instincts distracting her, she is struggling to find a place for herself within the clan, a role to fit her. Background: One of the two hatchlings that accompanied the fae tutor, Vivid, on his way into the clan, Farrow is still rather young. Months after reaching adulthood she began to experience a strange illness that left her feverish and unable to eat. Sequestered with those closest to her in her den for nearly a month, when she emerged she did it as a fae; finally aware of what Vivid had rescued her and Acat from when she was young. Experiments on hatchlings and eggs designed to explore the process that created Bogsneaks in the first place. The one thing she is grateful for, amongst all of it, is that her unexpected transformation made her feel a little closer to the dragon she’s come to think of as her father. Growing up she was fascinated by Devise, she tried to spend as much time as she could around the older dragon. And since her transformation that fascination for dangerous things has grown into her passion and focus in life. Taking up the mantle of investigator of arcane secrets, uncoverer of mysteries, discoverer of lore and explorer of strange things, Farrow serves as part research assistant, part field expert for the other magically inclined members of the clan. Quite magically adept herself, she’s also rather physically daring for any Fae, and enjoys accompanying other dragons on expeditions. The only place she so far refuses to travel is anywhere within the Arcane Flight’s demenses. She’s somewhat nervous about what might happen if any of the unscrupulous researchers who experimented on her as a hatchling might do. Farrow’s also come to the relatively recent discovery that she’s bisexual. Relationships: Farrow will always be closest with Vivid and Acat, her adoptive family, but in the years since she’s grown close with many members of the clan. Though she remains somewhat wary of Orithyia’s severe manner, she’s happy Vivid has grown so close to her, and considers their daughter Paean to be her sister; going so far as to assisting her recently in her own research. Curious about their gifts, she’s even grown close to the Oneiroi siblings, striking up friendships with them and their respective mates -- she’s started to keep an eye out for their two remaining brothers. Daily Life: Farrow’s day to day existence can be somewhat unpredictable. Any particular day might find her accomplishing a myriad number of tasks, from helping obtain ingredients necessary for any of the clan’s other magic users, to setting out looking to procure a new manuscript, or delving into ruins in pursuit of an artifact, or even performing experiments of her own. Her duties are numerous, far flung, and often exciting. Goals: To prove herself, and to befriend Devise. Or maybe even pursue something more, there. |
