Born and raised in the Cairnestone Rest, Othrys had a deep interest in gemstones from a young age, accruing a massive collection of stones from her homeland's gem deposits. This may not be unusual for an Earth dragon; however, the Pearlcatcher discovered she could imbue gems with various magickal intents, in order to help out others in her clan. She has even used opals to mend her own injuries.

Her clan, however, didn't seem to appreciate or understand the potentially useful applications of this, and she left, pursuing a place that would appreciate her work. She found Clan Umbra and marveled at their love of magicks of all kinds, and felt she truly had a home here. Welcomed into the Umbral Coven with open arms, Othrys and her work flourished.

In her free time, Othrys enjoys collecting various gemstones, which she often sells to earn the clan some money.
