Orion
The Pack; Master of the Hunt

Bulletpoint lore:
Dogtooth
-Originates from the plaguelands
-Born and raised in a roving pack
-Left with a small band of older mirrors to the Windswept Plateau, curious about the "easy life" they're talking about.
-Trachurus is one of them, a slightly older teen. They bond.
-The band is chased off by a larger pack of bandits coming from the Tangled Wood. Dogtooth and Trachurus are split and forced into the hostile group.
-Neither mind.
-They grow up following the bandits, they excel at different things.
-Trachurus has the guts to do what no one else dares do, Dogtooth can get others to do what they wouldn't dare do.
-He seems quite literally fearless and seeing a fledgeling stand up to any threat he faces is enough to shame most into action.
-Truth is he freezes when he's afraid but he's Plague: he adapts so he can survive..
-Bandit leader starts to use Dogtooth more intelligently, starts including him in his plans and has him rise through the hierarchy
-With Dogtooth's growing ability to rally the bandits start becoming more and more of a threat. They can no longer be broken and scattered like they use to and become a real threat to the small clans.
-They thoroughly sack their territory in the Windswept Plateau until they are finally broken by Peacekeeper Vaamu and his men.
-Most of the bandits are killed in the fight, Trachurus escapes but Dogtooth is wounded and forced to submit to jurgement.
-Vaamu refuses to make an exception to his values and he's exiled from the Windswept Plateau instead of being executed. The parting words of the imperial: "Unless you learn the true nature of strength, you'll die a mangy cur no matter how much brain or brawn you think you have."

-He escapes on a ship, making use of smuggler captain Mocha's pity.
-He plays down his intelligence and lets her and the crew assume he's just some dumb brute that got played.
-It's not long before Mocha figures out it's hogwash and she offers him a place on her ship. She can use strong, smart dragons.
-At this point, he's still shaken by the events in the Windswept Plateau. He's struggling to identify and cope his feelings concerning Trachurus abandoning him to his death.
-He knows it was the plague/mirror thing to do and as such there's nothing to be upset over but he knows that if the roles had been reversed, he would've stayed and that makes him feel like he's been fooled somehow.
- He decides the best thing to do is go back to a simple survivalist life and busy himself enough that he won't have the time to dwell on it anymore. He declines the captain's offer to stay.
-He leaves the boat in the Frigid Floes, intrigued by the crew's stories about the packs that run there. By that time, he's mostly healed.
-He finds the roaming pack and is able to join them and keep up with them.
-It doesn't take long before the other mirrors learn that he's not to be trifled with. He's challenged over his share and despite his healing wounds, he's able to defend it everytime thanks to his life as a raider.
-By the time his injuries are healed (roughly 3 weeks) he's dissatisfied enough with how things are done that he decides to take on the pack leader. He wins without suffering grievous injuries and assumes control of the pack.

-Signs of the war are everywhere but he ignores them for a month before first getting involved.
-His pack gets split after they accidently blunder through a Fire Flight ambush site. He's left with a few packmates: Cero, Slender and Scomber.
-They all suffer moderate injuries; not enough to kill them but enough to prevent them from rejoining with the pack since they would be unable to fully keep up.
-Slender insists they make it to a refugee camp so they can recieve medical care and possibly food rations as well. Despite some initial reluctance, Dogtooth agrees to go with them after he's assured he doesn't have to have aid if he doesn't want it. Shelter is vital to their survival after all.
-The camp they reach is small and impovrished.
-They stay in for some time and quickly start hunting again even though they return to the camp to rest.
-Before long the other three Mirrors decide to bring their leftovers to the refugees. Dogtooth opposes, refusing to left the weak take his share but spurred by Slender, the others stand up and gang up. He's forced to let them.
-The steady influx of food has the refugees gaining in strength, to the point where now well-fed, hopeful yet untrained dragons manage to hold their ground against a group of raiders long enough for a local clan to intervene while Dogtooth and the others are out hunting.
-From the simple act of gifting a few leftover carcasses rises a hero, who would have died had the refugees not been in good enough shape to resist the enemy.
-Dogtooth intends to leave, not interested in helping rebuild the camp and babysitting the refugees even more but a wind dragon in the knight's escort (Oh Dae Su) recognize him as one of the leaders of a dangerous raider pack that plagued the Windswept Plateau.
-To his surprise, the Knight doesn't call for his hide. Instead, he offers to discuss his pardon. Dogtooth is wary but complies, not fancying trying to flee a war thorn country on his own.
-The negociations are very short and straightforward: his pardon for his servitude. Should he agree to manipulate the large pack he usually leads to target invaders as they're found and reported, he'll be allowed to stay.
-The ambitious task appeals to him and he agrees.
-He's properly introduced to Teller's Rise, given rations and equipment and the scouts provide him with the location of the pack. He and the other 3 rejoin them and he seizes control once more.

Old lore wrote:
Dogtooth is one of the rare mirrors who have decided to call somewhere a home. He first arrived to the Frigid Floes with a large roaming pack but after a few weeks of hunting across the glaciers, he decided to stay because he does not believe there is any other life worth living more than the one he had found. As a mirror and a Plague dragon, he believes he's found the ultimate challenge to conquer: if leading packs of mostly unknown Mirrors across the Icefields in search of enough food to send back to the clan wasn't rough enough, the constant skirmishes between the Ice denizens and their Fire and Lightning rivals all while trying to contain (literal) god-forsaken abominations from fleeing to the mainland definitely were. Fighting on losing odds on a dire, thankless task, assailed from within and without with no one to rely on but themselves... Really, what else in the world could possibly top that?

Smaller than nearly every other Mirrors in Sornieth but close to twice as wide as most, Dogtooth is more like a battering ram than a dragon. While a bit slower than his breed usualy is, his sheer mass makes him almost unstoppable once he gets going. Skipjack likes to tell the time where he dove on an imperial-sized wolf with such strength that the impact killed the wolf AND shattered iceberg it was standing on. While the story is exaggerated, there aren't many creatures that can walk away from a 650kg missile colliding in them at full speed. Dogtooth is a fearsome adversary in every way, with muscles so tightly packed on his frame that they practically act as armor and shimmering skin that reflects the harsh sun of the Icefields with increased intensity. He's not only attuned to an existance of fighting and hunting but also a very apt and charismatic leader, organising the roaming bands of mirrors into larger packs that he leads out on the floes in search of prey for them and Teller's Rise as well as leading them to any threats he's made aware of by the clan's scouts.
