WiltedThorn's Kingdomlocke

Introduction | Rules | Scenarios | Roles | Current Members | Perished Dragons | First Post | Latest Post

Hi. I am WiltedThorn, and this is my Kingdomlocke.

What is a Kingdomlocke?
Kingdomlocke, created by Amubun, is a mix of coolkid's Pinkerlocke and squidragon's Fodderlocke to create a challenging hybrid of lore scenarios. This Kingdomlocke is designed to be tough, and thus lots of dragons will be lost in the process.

Before Reading Anymore:
Please check out the original Kingdomlocke by Amubun, as well as coolkid's Pinkerlocke and squidragon's Fodderlocke. I do not claim this idea to be mine.

My Kingdomlocke has been slightly edited or altered from the original to better fit my lair. If you wish to create your own, please view the original challenge post. For example, some changes include:

The way the challenge is worded or organized. Or the challenges being altered, keeping as closely to the original as possible.
My dragons can only be shadow dragons. No other element is allowed.
My dragons can only be Veilspuns or Nocturnes. Sorry, no other breeds allowed.
Dragons chosen from the Auction House are coloured between Lead - Turquoise for their primary, secondary and tertiary. This is to fit my shadow aesthetic.

Tools Used:
During this Kingdomlocke, I will be using several websites to help with the random aspects of the challenge. These websites are:

Coin Flips - https://flipsimu.com

Names Randomly Generated - FlightRising's naming system.

Rules:

Starting, Hatchlings And Main Goal -
To start the Kingdomlocke, I am starting with three adult dragons, all Level 1, that are ready to breed. One is randomly chosen to be the "Royal".

Every day (or at least when I am online), I take from Pinkerton. Depending on what Pinkerton gives depends on the daily scenario. Later, when dragons start to get roles, there will also be extra daily quests to do.

The "Royal" breeds straight away. They are the only dragon that can nest at any time, otherwise nesting can only be due to specific scenarios that are rolled. For each nest hatched, a coin flip decides if the hatchling lives or perishes.
Heads = Healthy.
Tails = Exalted.
For every hatchling in the lair, a six sided dice is rolled. Every time a 1 is rolled, the hatchling perishes, and thus exalted. Numbers 2 - 6 survive. This is different if there is an Egg Carer in the clan.

Once the dragon grows to adulthood, the dragon is given a personality and a name. Personalities are chosen at random, and names are randomly generated using Flightrising's naming system, unless someone has the role of Scribe.

The Kingdomlocke is won by either having at least one dragon in each of the twenty jobs or having a Royal reach Level 25.

Levelling, Lives and Exalting -
If a dragon dies in the Coliseum (except when on quests), or from a random lore scenario; the dragon loses a life. Once all lives are lost, the dragon is exalted. Dragons may earn lives from the following:
"Aging" (Levelling). When a dragon reaches Level 10, 15, 20 or 25, they gain a life. A total of four lives can be received from levelling.
Roles. Depending on the role a dragon is assigned, they may gain lives. For example, a Knight is given three extra lives.
Scenarios. Depending on how lucky a dragon is, they may receive an extra life.

Dragons can sometimes escape death. If a dragon "retires", or if there is a specific role in the clan, such as the Necromancer, they may be able to bring back a deceased dragon.

A "retired" dragon is one that reaches Level 25. This dragon becomes an "Eldest'', making them immune to death and scenarios, however It can no longer fight in the Coliseum, or breed.

Roles -
When a dragon reaches Level 5, they are given a random role. These roles may add new daily tasks, add more lore prompts, or affect how a scenario goes.

Each role adds something different, and their own unique abilities cannot be used until the clan has one. For example, dragons cannot be given apparel until there is a Tailor in the clan. Skins or accents can be used freely whenever, however once assigned a dragon, it can only be removed once the dragon has been exalted.

More than one dragon can have the same role, but the job rules do not double or stack.

Some scenarios mean a dragon will change their role. They do not lose the lives given to them from their previous job. For example, a dragon that was given three lives as part of the Knight role will keep them once they change roles.
