My name is Shade, and this is my story. I was old enough to know what was happening. Dragons murmering, crying, sleeping, all the sounds and scents were horrific. I was tired, and I know what was happening around me. I was at the auction house for sale. I heard a dragon come in, their shadow domain scents fresh on them. I heard them coming closer and closer, passing me, then coming back. They walked away, then came back and took me away from the only place I knew home at the time. When I was there, I was too tired to run away, so I fell asleep. When I woke up the next morning, their was a tundra wrapped around me. I could here the steady footsteps of a graceful Skydancer pacing near me. He said angrily, "Why is she here?!?! Now?!?! There is no worse time! Rune, we don't have to adopt her at all!" The tundra shook her head. "Peace...she is just an orphan. She deserves a loving family." "BUT WHY NOW?!?!" Peace yelled. I was so frightened, that I hid in the Rune's fur. "Oh now you frightened the poor thing! She is staying with us and that's that." Rune demanded, and licked my head. I lifted my head out of her fur and asked, "Why is it so dark? I can't see anything." It was night time in the shadow domain, but you could still see very well. I blinked my eyes unknowingly. I was blind.
