Biography
A fashion designer with a knack for making surfboards and using colours that are too bright. Met Riptide through a custom he commissioned from her, and they hit it off from there.
Lore in progress~
Aim: describe her daily life(surfboard painter) and how she met Riptide. Themes: passion, creativity, conformity.
Personality: creative, optimistic, spontaneous
CURRENT DRAFT:
It had lasted for days. Billabong sighed, setting her paintbrushes aside. Sketch after sketch had came out messy and disjointed, and her clients had left equally disappointed. The bright pigments that she was famous for seemed only to mix into muddy hues, and her creative spontaneity shrivelled to dullness. Nothing that she tried seemed enough to revive her former motivation. The art block had yet to leave her.
Billabong's feathers sagged. She had tried everything she could - even … - but nothing had worked. She wouldn't give up, she never would, that's what she had told herself. But she could feel her willpower slip, the urge to close her sketchbooks, cover her canvases and call it a day. A bell rung, forcing her out of her thoughts, and she stood straight, hastily regathering them.
A blue and white striped wildclaw stood at the door of her studio. He had a surfboard under one arm, and to her alarm, it was dripping.
"Ah! Uh, welcome. What can I do for you?" Billabong asked, eyeing the forming puddle at his feet.
"Well, heard from a mate that you could paint. Paint really beautiful stuff. He showed me an artwork he bought from you. I was wondering if you could give ol' Timmy here a makeover." he gestured to the surfboard under his arm.
"Ah, thank you, yes. But before I can add any paint to it... It has to be dry." she said. Finally noticing its wet state, the wildclaw left it outside the door.
"Sorry," he said, looking away in embarrassment. "I'm so used with being in water, I forget I'm out of it."
"Don't worry about that, I sometimes forget I have paint on my hands and..."
"Well, you do have some paint on your feathers now."
It was Billabong's turn to be embarrassed. They exchanged a giggle.
"What kind of design are you looking for?" she asked, intrigued.
"The artwork I want..." There was a long pause before he continued. "Veins of light that join the heavens and the sea." the wildclaw murmured thoughtfully.
Billabong looked up into the wildclaw's eyes. Lightning just like hers, sparking with the unpredictability and unconstrained passion of electricity, wild with the raw power of an endless spark, alluring with the glow of a thousand watts - she broke away from his eyes. He looked back naïvely.
They exchanged details about the commission, but the more they spoke, the more Billabong was aware of a light flutter in her heart, a strange energy that made her laugh more than usual, like some sort of static in the air. Was it his eyes?
As her strange client left, the coatl busied herself immediately, enthusiastically sketching down designs. Was this what they called a muse? Or was this... something else greater?

"No, no, don't worry. I think I know exactly what to do!" she said, her mind instantly filling with fantastical designs and ideas.
