B I O G R A P H Y
Razorgrin didn’t want to be forced to see her daughter die, so she abandoned the egg deep in the forest. After a few weeks surviving the harsh conditions of nature, though, the egg hatched. Out crawled a tiny Imperial who’s magic was far more advanced than a normal dragon’s at her age. It was how she survived being alone in the forest, a too-small hatchling surrounded by larger and stronger predators who saw her as their next meal. Due to her size, Cahya couldn’t hunt. She had to scavenge and consume dead animals or scraps to survive. When food was low, she’d have to feed off her own magic, which stunted her growth even more. Using her own magic as a food source is similar to eating one’s body parts; it gives you momentary relief, but in the end it only harms you. After about half a year, though, she was found by a scouting party from Tribe Whakapapa half alive and a feral beast. Since Cahya had never been near other dragons before, she couldn’t speak and was aggressive, assuming the scouting party was attempting to harm her, as every other creature larger than herself had attempted to do. |

The only reason Cahya came with them was because of a Spiral, NightWhisper, who was even more magically-adept than average for her species, sent out a pulse of calming magic to show Cahya they showed her no harm. It mixed with her own magic, sending images through her head. A clearing in the woods, sun shining down on it giving an ethereal glow. Friendly-looking dragons doing things that Cahya knew was a sign of prosperity and peace. For the first time, she’d felt friendly magic and was immediately drawn in. Despite the Spiral’s soothing, she was still hostile at first, but through the trial of time she calmed and settled into the clan. The Saalumiik of the clan helped to teach her to speak, write and read. The other hatchlings taught her how to socialize with other dragons and behave properly. Each dragon, whether young or old, Imperial or Spiral, and healer or warrior helped her to become who she is now. After some time, Cahya became a part of the clan. She finally had a family. When Cahya grew up, her magic was ridiculously strong. It was definitively stronger than every dragon’s magic in the clan, only being outpowered by perhaps the Lafaan herself. Using her power, she decided to become a healer, to save lives with her gift. Cahya now works as the doctor for the Whakapapa Tribe using a blend of medicinal plants and her magic to heal wounds. She has healed fatal wounds that should have been impossible to heal, cured paralysis, and even helped to create new life with her magic. Before she came to live with her clan, she never knew the meaning of family, and she never knew what being a Nightspinner meant, or how it would affect her future. Now she knew. It meant honor and generosity, and being true to her clan. Written by Neraida/Clan Page |
