Not many dragons think about where their water comes from. They live in a cliff, the waves crash below, it probably has something to do with that, they figure. But Kage knows that that water, full of silt and salt and its fair share of secrets, needs to be filtered before it’s suitable for drinking or machines or the occasional magic.

She maintains the pipes that supply the water in Tide Bluffs, and every month she checks in on the complex filtration system, for regular maintenance, of course, and also for all the treasures that get caught in the nets.
