after a long but not really stay in another clan, living under a fake name and being trained under flutter's wing, a wanted poster dropped off by a courier alerts the clan to penny's past. despite flutter trying to convince the clan, penny was dragged back into [clan's] territory for the reward money

Penny was friends with Pyxis long before she became Queen. They were best friends with a shared history. Together they struggled, and together they came to the little Wind group for peace and respite. They had planned to move off again once they were strong enough... but then Pyxis got comfortable. And so Penny stayed. It helped that she had befriended Dime, a sweet coatl who was in need of some protection.

And, perhaps Penny hadn't took notice of Pyxis' controlling nature--or rather overlooked it, being her best friend. But then Pyxis became leader out of the blue, and it all started making a little more sense. Penny still stayed by her side, but she started spending less time with Pyxis and more time with Dime.

Penny and Dime make a daring escape to a neighboring Clan, and manage to lose the castle guards chasing for them. They hide out for a while, a whole year in peace. Penny changes her look using a very rare scroll, so that she's nigh unrecognizable save for her eyes. Dime figures no one will come looking for him. But their past catches up to them eventually. Dime is found and taken into the [NAME] clan, to the dungeons most likely. Penny vows to save him, but is caught and found before she can by Pyxis herself.

"I'd never forget those eyes, Penny."
