The Electric Fighter
Humble, Reserved, Unbreakable

She doesn't remember much of her childhood but does recall the day she met her mentor, Charyne. Lightswitch's mother had sent her out for food. It took hours, but she eventually found a rotten log brimming with life. She was picking at a beetle when she heard something growl.

A strange monster stared at her from the tree line. Shaped like a boar, tusks and all, it was carved from dark wood and its eyes glowed. Mushrooms and moss grew in tufts on its back. She tried, truly tried, to run away, but the creature charged her too quickly. Somehow,Lightswitch was lucky. Her body lashed out on instinct, almost as though she was possessed by a spirit crackling with power. Her claws glowed blue as they gouged the boar again and again until it fell for good.

A voice called out.

"Tell me, child. Is it dead?" asked a Mirror with wings the color of fresh blood. Another dragon stood behind her, a stunning gem-like Fae.

Lightswitch could only nod. The two dragons, she later found out, were warriors for clan 7734: Charyne and Steven. They brought the young Pearlcatcher home and convinced her mother to let her train as a proper warrior. Over the years, she learned how to use her new powers to defend her clan from any oncoming attack. Charyne taught Lightswitch to fend off any attacker, no matter how strong.

Although Lightswitch feels grateful to them and loves them like her own parents, she doesn't feel much love for the rest of her clan. She protects her mate, Lyrion, and fights for her clan because she knows it's important to her teachers. She has offspring of her own, but never felt much like a real mother.

It's difficult, she finds, to live up to the expectations of others. She fights fiercely for clan 7734, but keeps her distance from others due to her fear of disappointing them. If they look too closely at her, will they notice her failures and imperfections? She doesn't want to let anyone near enough to find out.
