Biography
D E E P S E A..........Clever..♦..Curious --- ........ Mate: Clacarla Deepsea’s first memories were of wind. He poked his tiny nose out of his egg and was buffeted by strong currents. It smelled fresh and felt wonderful on his new and sensitive scales. He had one sister who hatched alongside him, a guardian named Coral. The two grew up together and enjoyed the company of the other. As they got older, they were drawn in different directions. Deepsea was a clever and curious dragon, so he found a love for studying and knowledge. He spent much of his time in the library, exploring the topics he found interesting. He would often be found with piles of books on all different subjects. His energetic and excitable nature lended to that. Everything he saw in the natural world was exciting and interesting. He was curious about magic too. It was all so wonderful. The more he explored, the bigger his pile of books became. As both Deepsea and Coral came of age to leave their clan, their parents held them a celebration. Deepsea was to go and explore the world and learn. He wanted to figure how to use magic too. Coral was dead set on fighting for Windsinger. Deepsea left the following day. It was all so exciting. He was able to find a kind, older dragon to teach him magic. Strangely enough, he had no affinity for wind magic, but was quite good with water magic. Along with his magic studies, he continued to study everything else that he found exciting or interesting. Once Deepsea had mastered his magic, he began searching for a place to settle. Exploration was all well and fine, but he needed somewhere with a library and a place to study. Curiosity was nothing without the knowledge to back it up. Deepsea happily settled in a large earth lair. He met a loving and compassionate snapper whom he fell in love with. She was wonderful. All was well for Deepsea, until a letter arrived. Coral was dead. She had died fighting valiantly. It pained Deepsea. His family meant everything to him. He was still in contact with his mother and father. He had lost contact with Coral, but he thought she’d be okay. She was strong and powerful. And dead. Why? Why? Why would a god let that happen? Coral was a good dragon. Why would the gods let her die? Deepsea threw himself into his studies. He had to figure it out; he had to. The answers to life and death. He needed to pick the brains of the gods themselves. He had to know. Death couldn’t be the final destination. He had to know that Coral was safe and happy. There had to be something more, anything. Deepsea wanted to conquer death and learn the secrets of the afterlife. He needed to. |
