Alack's life has been anything but easy. Once a native of the Ashfall Waste, Alack was sold off by his clan to turn a profit. He was forced to leave his family and birthplace behind to work as an indentured servant. As luck would have it, the once-spiral drake was eventually freed and found a home with the Shardik Clan. Wanting only to forget his bondage and what he left behind, he scattered his colors and even changed his own breed. Nowadays he acts as caretaker to the clan's nesting grounds and hatchlings, guarding Shardik's very future. His gentle disposition and good patience make him quite ideal for the role. His kind heart andstalwart spirit have won him the clan's loyalty as well as the love of his coatl mate, Tonatiuh. Still, it does not go unnoticed when he stares longingly in the direction of the rising sun, as if he has left his heart behind horizons away in the land of Fire. His familiar is Sonja the Bluemoon Aviar.
