Saiya was born into a family life of spiritual tellers and paranormal priests. Since he was young Saiya has heard nothing but tales of powerful spirits and spiritual powers, for he was born with a gift, precious to his family. Generations of family pray for their children to recieve the Soul Seeker power.
Saiya was the first to recieve the abilities in hundreds of years; and as firstborn, his birth was celebrated with praise and fortune. His childhood was short as he was immediately placed under advanced teachings and ability trainings; being his potential would not be wasted once he began to show signs of his powers. Maintaining the maximum potential for his growth and development, Saiya would train even while asleep, dowsed into the spiritual world every night where he would meditate until morning, where he would train his body. Saiya's card and fortune readings became simple and flawless. He mastered his abilities to speak to apparitions and control them. All tasks of each separate profession in his family was mastered and he truly became a prodigy. It was when his younger brother was born when true terror struck. As if Saiya's family used all their fortune on him; Soma was born with a terrible curse that affected everyone around him. He attracted the worst paranormal entities, often harming their family and threatening Saiya and Soma. Saiya's admiration and love for his younger brother drove him to extend his abilities even further, gaining the skills to exorcise these terrors and protect his family, but more importantly; Soma. They grew close, even when Saiya's family began to treat Soma harshly, eventually abandoning him and separating themselves from Soma, secluding him. Saiya also began to look down on his family for their actions and always spent his time with Soma. Saiya would accept jobs in his very sought readings and charms and one night when he returned home to Soma, his younger brother was gone. Leaving his home without a second thought, Saiya left his home in search of his brother and to hopefully cure him of his curse.
