“That Shinjiro is too smart for his own good. He’ll let on everyone who I am. Then I can’t have her or my gold. I’ll shut him up with fear.”

“Shinjiro… Can I call you Shinji? Good, Good. You seem to know who I am and what I want. I warn you to hush. Unless you want your books soaked with my ghostly waters and thrown from their shelves.”

History

____Archipelago was a traveling pirate with a ship that could sail the seas and skys. He didn’t care whose life he ruined in the search of treasure. He pillaged clans and left destruction in his wake, laughing the whole time. This left him with a huge bounty on his head. He was told by an oracle that he would meet his fate and pay for his sins, but he just stole from her, but the prophecy lingered over him and using his arcane heritage infused his soul with the ship and an amulet, allowing him to rise again after death. He did the same for his crew, forcing them to work for him after death, but for them he cared less and only bound them to the boat. The weaker magic also meant that they couldn’t go out in the sunlight, while he still could. He still commited his piracy, crimes growing more and more heinous as time went on. But time after time he escaped capture, never falling victim to the law. But his fate caught up to him one day as his ship was caught in a huge storm his crew claimed it was divine retribution. Being selfish and greedy he tried to abandon his crew and take his treasure and fly away, only saving himself. The gold was too heavy and it drug him under the water never to breath again. But his soul wouldn’t rest.

____Many years later his spirit still travels the seas and sky with his spectral grew. They are all bound to the boat and can not leave it during the day, lest their souls sizzle away under the sun. The only exception to the rule is Archipelago himself as his soul doesn't fully reside in the boat, but in an amulet he has hidden somewhere, keeping its location a secret. If it were to be destroyed, then his soul would vanish. But the technique he used on the crew and himself allows them to become physical on the nights of a full moon.

Nassau

____Captain Archipelago saw the lovely living skydancer one day on the beach, while she was enjoying herself with her best friend and their other friends. He instantly fell in love with her and wanted her as his lover. So he approached her while she was alone gathering shells to decorate herself and to keep as treasures. He spun wild stories for her to listen to and he kept her hanging on every word, never finishing them and always asking her to return alone. To which she did, and to his amusement and pride after many meeting, she confessed that she had feelings for him. Glad it was the first full moon they could spend together and he was physical, he cupped her face and told her that he loved her too, and asked if she’d be his mate. She happily agreed and against her knowledge cast the same spell on her as he did for himself, making sure it was as strong as his. He linked her soul to his ship and a lovely conch shell. He swore to himself that when he travels with her to where his amulet his hidden he'll link her to it as well, then hiding it better so that nothing can ever destroy it.

Shinjiro

____Shinjiro was one of the dragons with Nassau when Archipelago first laid eyes on her. Given his intelligence and how many books he read he instantly knew that he was a ghost. Archipelago hated this, knowing that the Imperial would ruin his chances to steal her away and some gold too. Archipelago threatened him to not state his secret. Shinjiro agreed only so that his mate, Azura wouldn't get caught in the crossfire, as he knew the ghost had no heart and would hurt her for his gain. The imperial knew the skydancer wasn’t bluffing but that didn’t keep him from warning Nassau about the male. But she didn’t listen her heart already lost to the pirate.

Orlena

____Orlena was introduced to the pirate by her daughter, showing a mix of emotions to him, wary of the stranger but glad her daughter was happy. She had never heard stories of the infamous pirate before so his ghostly heritage was a secret. When a gust of wind showed her face from her hood he was instantly reminded of his first love. Isadora, a skydancer princess that he had stolen the heart of many, many years ago back when he was alive. He’d steal her out to sea for days at a time, wooing the lovely princess. None know if he actually loved her or just loved her fortune, he won’t say either way. But Isadora loved him, using her power to aid in his escaping the law. But his fate came for her and in a fight with city guards she was caught in the middle, losing her life. This made Archipelago’s heart grow cold and he stole her necklace. Now years later he sees the same kind heart in Nassau and vows to protect her like he failed to with the princess.

Scarlet

____Scarlet is a coatl that Archipelago has only met a handful of times. But she instantly reminded him of his mother, who went by the name Candy. He had a poor childhood, never knowing his father and raised solely by her and her ‘sisters’. He first became a pirate to steal money for her, so that she didn’t have to do her job anymore, he didn’t want her hurt more from it. But while he was out at sea and sky, disease took her life. Archipelago was heart broken, his only family was taken from him. Now he wants to protect Scarlet from the same fate and he watches over her, and every so often she’ll wake up to a small pile of treasure near her bed. A gift from him in remberace of Candy.

A shell that he found on the beach when he first met Nassau. Now it holds her soul so that when she passes she’ll return as a ghost to stay with him. He keeps it hidden and plans to eventually hide it with his pendant. So that no one can ever find or destroy them and he and his mate can walk the lands for all time.

A necklace once worn by a princess. Now it is lost to the world, with a pirate’s soul locked into it. Archipelago is the only one who knows its location and how it's hidden to keep it safe. This is his most cherished possession, he keeps a torn photo of Isadora in it, the other half of the photo had him in it.

Twister is his pet wolf-dog. Much like his owner Twister is a specter. His soul is locked to a ring of keys that hang over Archipelago's bed. Archipelago enjoys his dear pets company and finds it an amusing how he hunts and haunts his prey.

He was given to the skydancer as a puppy by his mother and it becomes his life-long and after-life long companion. Twister loves to steal keys and taunt ship prisoners with them.

This journal was lost to time, and holds the location of a huge hidden treasure. He almost came into possession of it once due to one of his crew found it, but discarded it thinking it was worthless. As he was in a rush to see Isadora. Now learning of its value he hunts it down.
