Biography

"You're doing just wonderfully! Hehe!"

Grinning Sword-Wielder,
Lacey, Female Mirror, Shadow Flight
Chimera Familiar (Name: Lance)

A strange Mirror equipped with a sword and wrapped with many blood-stained bandages, Lacey is nevertheless a very cheerful dragon with a constant smile on her face. When she's happy, she'll smile. When she's not, she'll smile wider. Normally, she's a very kindly dragon, throwing around pleasantries and compliments and cheering up hatchings. (It doesn't always work, due to her rather off-putting and terrifying appearing.)

Ask her about her wounds, and she'll gladly tell you. She may not be happy about her... situation, but she sees no reason why to keep it a secret.

The first thing Lacey noticed about Sugar was that he never smiled. A stark contrast to Lacey herself.

"Come in," Sugar's voice called from inside his den. Lacey parted the vines covering the entrance, seeing the shelves of plants and a few comfy-looking beds, most likely for patients. "I said come in," Sugar repeated and, not wanting to keep him waiting any longer, Lacey obliged.

Sugar eyed her, noticing the bloody bandages wrapped around her neck. "I've been informed that Angel found you nearby camp and nearly fainted."

"I can't imagine why," Lacey said sweetly.

"Lacey, when did you get those wounds around your neck?"

Lacey shrugged. "Sorry, dearie, I don't know for certain," she responded.

"Dearie-?"

"Perhaps," Lacey thought for a moment. "I got them a year ago, I suppose."

Sugar nodded. "Do you mind if I inspect it?"

"Not at all, darling."

Sugar reached forwards and pulled down a bandage, before freezing in stunned silence. "Lacey," he said. "These wounds look fresh."

"Mhm," Lacey said, as if it wasn't surprising at all.

"And fatal."

"I know, sweetie," Lacey said casually.

Sugar replaced the bandage and backed up a bit. "Lacey," are you dead?" he asked.

"No, dear, I'm very much alive," Lacey answered, smiling wider.

"May I check your heartbeat?" Sugar questioned.

Lacey shook her head. "Don't bother," she said. "I don't have one."

What a surprise, Sugar thought. "I do not understand."

Lacey's smile grew wider. It was then when Sugar realized that it looked almost unnatural. "Well, sweetie," Lacey said. "It's a bit of a long story."

"Tell me."

"Later," Lacey said. "But I suppose the best way to describe what I am is a dragon stuck on the brink of death. So I'm very much alive."

Sugar was astonished. "How? How is such a thing possible?"

She paused.

"...I don't know myself," Lacey answered.

Sugar said nothing as Lacey stood up to leave.

Moon eyed the Mirror, justifying the strange feeling she had gotten by the sight of the mirror, and tossed down some gems to see if it got better. Alas, none worked, and she tossed down some healing apparel.
10/10 Moon has been confused.

"Oh my, A seasoned warrior I presume? surely no peaceful dragon would have to retain such deep scars, much less carry a sword- then again I carry one myself so that statements quite void- in any case you seem like a wonderful dragon despite such a fierce getup. The smile you wear speaks far more than the scars or blade you wear. I'm sure hatchlings and juveniles alike find great joy in you everyday"
