Biography
A jaded old queen. Started the redundantly named Speakeasy Nightery not long after striking out on his own, initially as a small pub. Over time he added to it, including a modest inn over the main building, a distillery in the basement and a small farm on the land to provide fresh produce.
The Nightery has become popular with those who had nowhere else to go; he provides longterm housing for those willing to work for their keep, doesn't ask questions, and is more than capable of defending his guests if anyone happens to try to start something. Workers at the Nightery are denoted by a small anklet on one leg.
Speakeasy himself is bitingly sarcastic and not the easiest to get close to, having been burned a few too many times in his past by those he thought he could trust. Underneath the acerbic commentary, though, he has a soft spot for those whom trouble seems to follow, and has been known to house wanderers free of charge, provided they agree not to start any fights in his pub.
