I kinda wanna do this to him


Shadowstrike is the mate of Brightclaw and funily enough not one of Stryk's favorite dragons in the clan. Although it could just be that he uses the wrong deity name half the time and Stryk just wants to mess with him, after all she'll never let him forget he once said "Shlightbinder" in vain.

They'll never know what I saw that day. I wish I could forget the horror I saw. It was long before I came to live here, when I still lived in Shadow lands.

I was a part of a mercenary band, we called ourselves the Dark Eyes. The Night of Nocturne crept up on us and we failed to notice the unusual number of Nocturnes flying around. We had been hired to protect a caravan of beastclan negotiators as they passed through. We had stopped for the night and I took first watch. My shift was almost over and I was about to wake my brother, Darkstrider up so that he could take second watch. That's when I saw something approach. I walked over cautiously. The creature looked similar to a Nocturne, then suddenly morphed into a fanged cauldron. I instantly started shrieking "There's a mimic! There's a mimic! It's the cauldron!" I could hear my friends waking up as I pounced at the cauldron. To my horror, as I swiped at the cauldron, I saw dozens of mimics in the forms of monstrous objects. We fought hard, but it felt like for each one we took down five more showed up. Some of my friends had fallen when Darkstrider turned to me and said, "Run, I know it sounds cowardly to leave your brother for dead, but I want you to live your life Shadowstrike. Run as far as your legs will take you. Fly as far as your wings will carry you. But never forget I did this because I love you. Now go! Don't make my sacrifice be in vain!" I replied tearfully
"I love you too Darkstrider, I-I'll never forget what you did." With that I cloaked myself in the shadows and flew faster than I had ever before. And I did not stop fleeing, be it by wing or by foot until I hit Light territory. There I became a wanderer for a few years until I found Stryk's clan. She warily accepted me, but didn't ask too many questions about my past.

Now, you know my story. Every year on the Night of Nocturne I stand guard, ever vigilant for the mimics that took away everything that I cared about.
