 "I am a thread too slender to suspend all this reality..." Atalanta lived a life before this one. In an abstract way she remembers, since she has a lot of knowledge for someone who appears to be a hatchling. Specific memories about her life, however, are gone from her conscious mind. The unconscious holds on to everything, though... and Atalanta's dreams are filled with horrible images. Hatching to captivity. Being trained to fight. The eggs she was forced to produce and then lose to her captors. Some of her children she never even got to name before they were sent on to a life of battle. The desperation that drove her to fight for her life and escape... and the yearning to forget that led her to track down one with magic enough to make the memories go away forever.

Atalanta often wakes roaring.
Luckily for the little one, the lunatics in this lair are no stranger to past traumas. No one here judges her for her night terrors. Dreamrider has pretty much adopted Atalanta as his own since he alone can ride her dreams and help her navigate the past with less pain. And the little dragon has her very own companion guardian in Furyan to make her feel safe and loved while she is awake. Atalanta's days are always filled with the feeling that - though she cannot remember who she was - she is treasured for who she is. The reborn hatchling has a happy life here, and hopes that someday she will be able to confront the hidden memories after her psychic wounds heal. Until that time, the former mother will flutter back and forth between glorying in her youth and at times acting much like the other caregivers to her similarly small brethren.
