.. ▍ HISTORY
✦_ It came as a surprise to all when Hamlet grew up being a spitfire, constantly getting into trouble and teasing other dragons whenever he found an “imperfection.” He was so different from both his parents that they were at a loss as to what they ought to do with him. In his adolescence, he knocked over Mirinda’s cauldrens, spilling the mixture all over the deformed dragon in the process; and that was the final straw for Nymph. She decided it was time to buckle down and do something constructive about his behavior. Without even consulting her mate, Nymph brought Hamlet to the Lightbeam Ruins where she handed him off to a militaristic clan. Surprised and horror-stricken by his mother’s decision, Hamlet begged Nymph to take him home, promising to behave from here on. However, Nymph wasn’t having it. She said she would return in a month’s time to see if he had learned any manners.
✦_ Surprisingly, when Nymph returned for her son, he had completely reformed and had even managed to find a ate in the process. As it happened, when Nymph left Hamlet in the stranger clan to be scared straight, he resented his mother and vowed to run away. The idea if his parents coming for him in a month, only to find their child missing and having to grieve over their decision to abandon him was too appealing to pass up. A few nights later, he stealthily made his way to the lair’s outskirts where he was discovered by one of the clan’s generals, escorting a handful of new recruits. Salem, along with the new dragonlings, were brought into the clan. Upon hearing of Hamlet’s attempted escape, the clan leader awoke the entire camp, brought everyone to the courtyard, and proceeded to humiliate and punish him for all to see. The idea was that the shame would be so great that Hamlet would not try it again.
✦_ The punishment didn’t work as planned, however. Instead of being pressured to obey, he felt pressured to retaliate. He once again planned on escaping, but this time he planned ahead. He managed to find some herbs which he proceeded to crush up and drop into the water supply, causing most if the camp to fall asleep early. That night, he decided to make his escape. After leaving his barracks and making his way to the outskirts, he was once again discovered—though it wasn’t a clan member this time, it was a fellow recruit. She sympathized with his struggles, but ultimately managed to convince him to return to his barracks. Something about the way she spoke and how she cared for his well-being warmed Hamlet’s heart. From that moment, Hamlet endured the hardships of the boot camp, but it was not the grueling treatment, schedules, and food that whipped him into shape, but rather the mysterious dragoness from that night. Every night, in secret, he would sneak into her barracks and, after a while, they started calling each other mates. For this reason, when Nymph returned for Hamlet, she ended up bringing both her son and his mate home.

▍ LOCATION
SITE ONE _ – _ The largest of the clan's settlements. It is a decent sized emcampment located in a massive crater on the fringe between the Carrion Canyon and The Lighting Farm. Although it is heavily monitored and guarded, the locals seem exceedingly warm and welcoming. A variety of different sized yurts and tents make up this settlement. In the very center of the crater is a large yurt which is roughly twice the size of the surrounding buildings. It is colored with paintings and decorated with beads. This is where clan leaders Mojil and Izzy mate, sleep, and conduct business.
