~ s t o r y ~ Ethera can usually be found lounging around her rooms at the Cliffhang Outpost. If she's not there, she's ensconced in a corner of ----'s tavern, her body swathed in an ever-changing layer of silks and jewels of shades that flatter her obviously Arcane heritage. The one constant among the fripperies is a cloak heavily embroidered with runes and made of a fabric that glints out of the corner of your eye. All in all, most strangers assume she's a charming but ineffective mage and conclude the most dangerous thing about her is a snake oil potion or a shady tea leaf reading. Ethera prefers it that way. She maintains that it's a lot easier to punch someone in the face if they were expecting a spell shot from some wimp mage with the arms of a psywurm. She rarely manages to keep up the facade any night a brawl breaks out in the --, as she gleefully joins the fray. This usually requires shedding her layers of silk to reveal the carefully crafted layer of armor underneath. Plus, few doubt her martial prowess after seeing her coiled, smug and self-satisfied, after roundly trouncing most of the bar. Within the Philamot Company, Ethera does her best to maintain a fine balance of power that allows her to ignore anyone she finds annoying without actually taking on something as distasteful as responsibility. Mostly, she trains those who desire to serve one of the Eleven or those who want to improve their fighting skill. She specializes in a forest survival course that leads trainees through the depths of the Forgotten Woods. It keeps her away from the outpost long enough to avoid being assigned anything truly onerous and respected enough to wheedle extras from the cook. ~ r e l a t i o n s h i p s
