Stormsurge is the resident mechanic and shipwright. While Despair was the one to acquire their ship in the first place, almost every aspect of it has been changed or replaced by Stormsurge, and he considers it his baby. He used to be a well-respected inventor in the Turrets of Goldensparc, but became dissatisfied with the ideals of his associates and decided to figuratively jump ship, eventually landing on a literal ship, enticed by the promise of adventure and doing whatever is deemed "right," even if the rules say otherwise. He quickly proved to be an invaluable part of the crew, even managing to rig the ship with retractable wings, balloons, and fans, allowing it to cruise the seas and skies equally with ease.
