Nimbus had grown up in an Arcane clan and had wanted to be a Priestess of the Arcanist since she was a hatchling. She had accomplished this goal with ease, as she worked hard to become as knowledgeable as her smaller Fae counterparts. Nimbus was one of the best Priestesses in her temple; between her easy temperament and her intellect, she loved learning and often spent hours upon hours in the temple library where she would read through some of the thousands of scrolls that they had about the Arcanist.

When she first arrived, she didn't think much about the disproportionate amount of Fae working there, or that all of the higher ranking members of the clergy were Fae. It was, after all, the Starfall Isles, and this lack of concern went on for years as she accepted that Fae would want to work for the temple far more than other breeds as it was their breed's origin flight. Nimbus did however find it odd that some of those who had been with the temple the longest were of different breeds and far more knowledgeable than those of higher ranks, yet were the same rank as her.

Nimbus finally found out what the real cause of this was and felt her blood boil; the temple was openly speciesist, but was smart about how they handled it. They still hired other breeds and accepted them into the temple with open arms, but they would never become more in the temple than what they were hired in as. On the other claw, Fae who were hired could and would advance very rapidly even knowing far less than a dragon of a different breed who had studied to work there. She found this unfair, especially considering the Fae held themselves above those of different breeds, and made life difficult for those working there. Reading through some of the old scrolls in hopes of finding guidance, she found her devotion to the Arcanist diminish as her patience with her coworkers vanished.

Nimbus saw a small Fae as he was leaving, looking disappointed as he wandered off. She finished her work in a few hours before going shopping to pick up a few things. She saw the fae again when he was selling trinkets and other bobbles, but paid him little mind as she went about her own shopping and tried to calm herself after a argument with one of her superiors. As she finished her shopping she decided to find out what this drake was selling and was amused by his enthusiastic attempts at selling 'holy trinkets' of the Arcanist. The white snapper called him out on his con, but didn't draw attention to him. She spoke with him and found out why he had been the temple earlier. In an act of rebellion, she offered to get him a set of robes on the condition she goes with him and helps him with his con jobs. The dark blue fae, Rhodolite, was understandable hesitant, but when she explained why she was willing to help him he agreed with relative ease as she would not betray him in favor of her former temple.

Nimbus was good for her word, bringing Rhodolite an outdated robe that would fool anyone who wasn't working at a temple. If anyone recognized the older robes, they could be explained away by saying that they hadn't been back to a temple in a long while. Nimbus became friends with Rhodolite as they wandered and she helped him, using her knowledge of the Arcanist and the Starfall Isles to her advantage in any area they stopped in. They were nearly impossible to stop and nearly impossible to catch, as even the most sure footed guardian had trouble stopping a snapper who wanted to leave an area. They were soon well known around the territories of Sornieth, however, not well enough as they weren’t still able to pose a threat to those earning an honest living.
