-an animated pile of leaves, twigs, and rocks approximately the size of a fae -seems to be animated by magic stored in it’s hood- if the hood is removed, the whole thing collapses into a lifeless heap -shows no discomfort when/after this happens, and will not resist removal of the hood. it does seem to be aware of what's happened, though. -occasionally, faint shadows can be seen moving within the body of the leafy creature- these ghostly appendages emanating from the hood appear to be what holds the mass together and allow it to move -will not allow anyone to actually wear the hood- anyone who tries will be gently pushed out by shadowy hands -can understand simple requests and commands -has a tendency to 'borrow' various items and try to incorporate them into its form; may also seek out fresh foliage to replace old crumbling leaves -most of the time, borrowed items are easily retrieved just by asking to have them back -occasionally offers gifts of branches, flowers and smooth stones to dragons -stole a pair of goggles from Zim, used to mimic a face.. sort of -frequently seen following around and assisting Rayna -likes to play with Fern, and other hatchlings in the clan -unsure what to make of the little drone. often attempts to play, with mixed results -has been observed developing various 'play' behaviors when interacting with hatchlings -observed play activities include:
-fetching small thrown objects
-Moss is also very careful in its interactions with hatchlings, and is protective of them-pretending to resist giving up said objects -playing dead; dropping itself into a pile and reforming on command -allowing hatchlings to rearrange its mass- though it seems to have trouble keeping these forms for very long -scattering a shower of leaves into the air, allowing them to be caught and placed back into its form -it does not try play with adult dragons. it is unknown why it interacts with hatchlings in this way |
